Super place for breakfast

Been coming here for years and it never fails to deliver. Worth making a journey for breakfast as we do from across town. No sign of Pat today but we were assured she was just having a day off. And the two guys who were running things out front were doing an excellent job.

Walk from Columbus Inn to Pat's Cafe. Loved the interior, small and cosy with great breakfast choices. Kids meals too and a great way to start the day. Nothing really close by for Columbus Inn so Pat's was a great place to have breakfast.

If you want a relaxed morning on North beach, pop in for breakfast. The service is great, they have free wifi and the coffee is also up there with the food. Enjoy an hour just getting your plan for the day together

We were in San Francisco for 4 days staying at Fishermans wharf. Tried Beach st cafe, Hollywood cafe and Pats. For us Pats was the best although we had the eggs over easy with Bacon. Well cooked and good serves and prices competitive. Hollywood cafe serves were a little large for us and the price a little higher. Our favourite... More

I recently went back to Pat's after having such a great experience eight years previous, and it still holds up to the hype. You can take a cable car from Union Square to Pat's, then walk off your breakfast to Lombard Street, the Fisherman's Wharf, or Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. Pat's has a wide variety of sweet and savory... More

Good food and great service. Many locals eating here. The eggs benedict is good as well as the biscuits and gravy. We ate here twice. Breakfast and lunch served.

Don't sleep on this place. The food was fast and good. The chicken apple sausage was fresh with a unique taste. You seat yourself. My only con was... The tap water was NASTY! Get bottled water. I'll post pics. Enjoy!

Hearty Pure American breakfasts! Love it!!!! But my family just can't get used to such big breakfast. Try the chocolate milk or the mocha

Reliable and reasonable price. They make wonderful oat meal and the fruit cup is good, too. We've eaten here for a number of years when we are in town. So far it has not disappointed. We haven't bought any of by local artists the art that decorates the walls.

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
