Such a mysterious and cool joint to have an incredibly delectable drink (or two or three). We had wonderful service, great conversation, and will definitely return on a future visit.

We enjoyed an early evening of pre-prandials @ BandB and I'd highly recommend you do too. The speakeasy vibe is fun, drinks are superb, staff attentive and helpful with choices. Just keep it schtum, ok?

We never would have found it if we hadn't asked people where it was...as they waited outside the door . We did not have a reservation and went to the library for a drink. The cucumber gimlet served in a dimly lite library was something new, different and delicious. Friendliest staff there and a place to definitely go to.

We were a bit intrigued by the whole password and secret bar aspect to this place – not mention its history. For some reason I thought this could make it a little pretentious. In actuality, it turned out to be the opposite. We tried the password at both entrances – both said that it was only required at the other... More

What a blast, but you need to make reservations and receive a password..ours was "nookie" and people trying to enter without it were turned away. Terrific serivce, unbelievable drink menu, and the real deal. A must stop in San Francisco.

If you're looking for late night entertainment in San Francisco, check out Bourbon and Branch, something a little different. B&B is modeled on a prohibition era speakeasy, complete with nondescript building and location. There is no sign letting you know you're there (instead, there is a sign for the Anti-Saloon League of America, which is quite funny); we wandered around... More

You walk up to a unassuming building, knock on the door, and then whisper a password to gain entry. You're guided to your seat in a dimly lit and very intimate bar. The bars well stocked, the bar staff all muddling, blending, and mixing for a expertly crafted cocktail. The ambiance feels a little different than the usual bar -... More

The bartenders are really what makes this experience worthwhile. As many others have stated this is a bar that reflects a prohibition speak easy and they do take it seriously. Recommend trying flight of drinks, they pare well. Drinks were amazing compared to the typical swill you get even at a high end bar. Wish they served food since after... More

The immediate draw to Bourbon and Branch is the idea of going to a prohibition era speakeasy. Now some might think it's cheesy but it was kind of fun. We made a reservation online and were given a password. Once you give your password and get inside it's not all that different from other bars. Except for their house rules... More

My husband and I thought this would be a cool thing to do while we were in San Francisco. We were not disappointed. We got our reservation about 3 weeks in advance and got our password. I thought it was hysterical to have to ring a doorbell outside before being let in. We had seats at the bar. The bartenders... More
