We only got into the Library room and it was crowded. Drinks are interesting mixes but the atmosphere was too crowded to enjoy. We will try again next time
We made a booking (you have to book as far as I know) to have drinks in the little side bar which you enter by giving a password at the front door. Really fun experience with very knowledgeable & friendly bar staff who know how to mix a fantastic cocktail. We did the tasting option they offer which gave us... More
Wow...a cool, edgy speakeasy. You need to prepare yourself and friends with reservastions and follow the rules at this real speakeasy in SF. The drinks are custom and some of the best you may ever have. It's a must do if visiting friends or business associates near Moscone center in SF. A do not miss for those that like good... More
This joint was pretty cool, atmosphere was what I expected it to be. My experience however was hamper by the fact I don't drink a lot of straight spirit. But being the troopers we are, gave it a go with concoctions of gin, vodka, brandy and even tried absinthe. I wouldn't go again, but would recommend it to family and... More
Came here for pre dinner cocktails. Best to reserve ahed. The available liquids were extensive and the specialty cocktails listed were very unique. We did a 3 "course" flight and every round was better than the last. It was fun to watch the guys behind the bar ply their craft. These cocktails are chemistry masterpieces that are just perfect. The... More
Here, you will find true mixology in it's sleekest form. Not only do they have a well-built existing menu- you can tell the bartender what type of ingredients and flavors you like and he will concoct a masterpiece for you. Dimly lit, smug, speakeasy vibe that is perfect for a chilly SF evening.
We spotted this on trip advisor but couldn't get booked for dinner as we'd left it too late. ( three days beforehand) however we did manage to get in for a couple of cocktails. It was magical, like stepping back in time. We could not stop grinning from ear to ear all the time we were here. Justin the mixologist... More
Cool place. We did not have a reservation so we got ushered to the back bar. Only stayed for one drink, but we were all impressed by the cocktails.
We visited Bourbon and Branch on a sunday. Maybe that night is different than the other nights? We did get a little disappointed. I is a very nice place with nice people and a beautiful interior, but the atmosphere was ruined by a lot of noisy people sitting in the bar (friends of the bartenders?) just dropping in and out... Four of us had a reservation (which is required) at Bourbon and Branch one evening. The place is in the area of San Francisco known as The Tenderloin, which is a more downtrodden area of the city. B&B was just on the edge of this area, and we felt comfortable going to it. It is easy to miss if you're... More
