Great place for 6+

Six of us went here after my granddaughter's volleyball game. It was great. I loved the spicy miso and kimchi broths. We also had mild miso and one other broth. Four out of six had never eaten this so it was fun to watch...especially our 8 year old. The food was great, loved the rice also. The... read more

Great Japanese family restaurant on Clement and 5 th. We had the special beef and multiple veggies all cooked at the table. There are 2 broths to choose from , miso and spicy. The beef is extra thin and cooks in seconds as do the noodles and fresh vegetables. For dessert we had the green tea and red bean ice... More

We love this restaurant, never disappoints. All you can eat/drink is the way to go. Spicy Miso with beef and pork outstanding. Can be a wait, this time we went on Monday when they opened at 5pm, no wait.

The food was delicious, some of the best i have ever had! Service and location is really great as well. Take your time and order the all you can eat with kobe beef.

The spicy miso broth, the kobe beef, enoki mushrooms are divine. This is by far the best Shabu place in the Bay area. Sometimes you can wait awhile for a table or a seat at the bar but it is totally worth it. The amount of quality food you get for the price is fantastic. They have hot and cold... More

Small restaurant, we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, but the food was terrific. The staff were attentive topping up the Shabu pot and sauces as required. Piles of fresh veges and meat, tasty sauces. Very authentic Japanese experience.

Typical Japanese style ambiance. But the shabu-shabu is very average. The quality of meat is only decent, the quality shows because it doesn't build a tasty or aromatic broth over time. If you're hungry then this is a nice place with the all-you-can-eat option but this restaurant is in no way a specialty shabu-shabu house.

Dinner with a colleague. Would make a great date night spot. Food was interesting. Food was fresh and tasty. I recommend that 'all you can eat' price. You cook it yourself in a boiling soup. It can be either chicken broth, spicy miso, or just plain water. I went with the spicy, it was great. You get a plate of... More

This was my first visit to Shabu House and didn't really know what to expect, but overall I was satisfied. The food was freshly prepared and the establishment seemed to be clean. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest but it was late at night and more than likely she'd been working all day. I like this place enough to back for... More

Never had eaten fondue style japanese food, but learned and enjoyed it. The food was fresh and very healthy. We ordered one entree and shared because it looked like a lot but I would suggest getting your own plate. The ice cream at the end of the meal was very tasty and a great way to end your dinner.
