The vibe, the quality, the service were great for the walk up location in Hayes Valley. I would go there as a regular if I lived in town.

Travelling across the US for three weeks this was the only place I went back to for coffee twice. Good quality coffee with people who care about what they serve...they look after the machine and they froth milk properly - great!!!

I had the drip coffee and normally I put a little cream. I didn't have to for this it was very smooth,it puts Pete's and Starbucks to shame.

Delicious cappuccino! The drop coffee was a little strong, but still had great flavor. Also had the grilled ham and cheese, which was delicious and hubs had the waffle. It was so good, I could have eaten it plain. Really yummy!

Another recommendation from SF local. When my cousin said she was bringing us to a cafe by the street for coffee, I thought it would be one of those nice Parisan cafes where you sit by the street and watch people go about their business. But this cafe, or should I say coffee "kiosk" (?) looks like it used to... More

On the recommendation of the hotel we were staying at, we went to this little, eclectic cafe tucked away in a square just south of Market Street. A great place with a fantastic breakfast and magnificent coffee. The coffee is to cheap but so unique that it is very worth it. Great breakfast as well. I had the poached eggs... More

I was walking down near the ferry terminal (getting my Fitbit steps in for the morning) and came across the Blue Bottle stand, there was a line so I waited and what great service and coffee. I have an almost perfect latte (I don't know what a perfect latte is so I have to give this a almost perfect). I... More

They do what they do better than anywhere else, and the Linden Alley kiosk is the best of the Blue Bottles. Accept that the coffee is served warm, not hot. Accept that you will wait. Accept that there is no half-caff soy caramel mochacino. Relax into the experience. Order the macchiato. Watch the sublime science and ballet of professional coffee... More

We had walked from our hotel in Sutter Street to Alamo Square and asked a lady dog walker for a recommendation for good coffee. The Blue Bottle Cafe was the suggestion and with the odd directional hiccup we did find this gem, although a little hidden away in the Hayes Valley area off Gough Street. The Cafe has no seating... On a recent trip to San Francisco, we were taken to Blue Bottle Cafe in the inner Mission district, a shared building with the Heath Ceramics company. Our son bragged about the milk used here as well as the coffee. The milk is a pastureized but not homogenized milk from a single farm. When used in the latte it created... More
