This one is, I guess, the 'original' Enjoy. We just stumbled across it while walking outside of the official Chinatown district. The three of us had a very filling lunch of cashew chicken, basil soy chicken, and tofu and noodles for $25! Can't beat that! It was all vegetarian, and the meat substitute was really good. We would definitely go... More

This is a three restaurant chain and we went to the one at 839 Kearney Street early on a Sunday evening. We had a fabulous meal here. I am not veggie and can be circumspect about an entirely veggie meal. My brother on the other hand has been a veggie for 25 years, since he was four. He was in... More

This is a totally Vegetarian (if not vegan) Chinese restaurant in the Inner Sunset, which is part of a trio (the others are in Chinatown and the Inner Richmond). This is the original. There is an element of authenticity about Enjoy Vegetarian's menu. You won't find dishes like "General Tsao's Veggie Chicken" or "Moo Goo Gai Pan". Instead you'll find... More

We came here from the uk with a friend who lives in San Francisco. I am a vegetarian and loved this place not only was this our favourite meal in SF but the best Chinese I've ever had. We ordered lots of different dishes portions were huge and really recommend the lettace wraps. It was delicious. My boyfriend is a... More

After finding the Kirkham St. location closed for maintenance, we found our way to the Geary Blvd. location where we were warmly welcomed. We had a fabulous meal - we especially enjoyed the green beans and faux chicken in black bean sauce. The sesame balls were a pleasant surprise - the perfect dessert when you need a small bite of... I visited Enjoy for a brunch soup. The wontons were really delicate and lovely. The soup itself needed an added kick, but it was a great start to the day and an easy place to eat a quiet, solo meal. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Everything on this menu is vegetarian, and it's not the "flexible" definition of vegetarian that sometimes includes fish, seafood, or other things. It's truly vegetarian. I wish I had been able to try more dishes. Everything I tried was good, but my favorite was the lettuce wraps. They were absolutely delightful, and I wish I could have more right now!... More

This is some of the best Chinese I've had. We are not vegetarians but went anyway based on the reviews and weren't sorry. The faux meat is a good fascimile. The "chicken" and green beans are outstanding.

After a long morning in the Museum of Modern Art, this spot for lunch was a fortuitous find, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal of mock meat and tofu with a slew of delicious vegetables. It was almost embarrassingly inexpensive after spending a huge wad of money at the Greens the previous evening (though that was worth it!). It's such... More

On the heals of visiting Ananda Fuara restaurant in San Francisco, we came across Enjoy Vegetarian at 839 Kearney. Sure most Chinese restaurants have vegetarian options, but Enjoy is pure vegetarian in the Buddhist tradition - which also means no garlic. The meat substitutes were phenomenal, and for us nearly impossible to distinguish from real pork, beef, and chicken. The... More
