Best hot sour soups!

They have the best version of a hot sour soup any where in SF. THE SERVICE IS JUST PLAN FRIENDLY!! Food quality is wonderful and not very expensive...

We have been coming here for about 20 years. Always excellent Vietnamese soup. Their Imperial rolls are hot and crispy. Reasonable prices. Parking is sometimes a problem

One of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. The BBQ pork noodle soup is to die for. Basically anything on the menu is excellent. The service is absolutely wonderful.

Mai's is a very good Vietnamese restaurant on busy Clement street in San Francisco. They have the basics down: very good imperial rolls, good spring rolls and rib-sticking Pho. I love their lemon-grass chicken and BBQ beef--it's got a strong smell, but it tastes great. The husband & wife owners/chef are very friendly and know how to run a restaurant.... More

Mai does noodle soup slightly differently; I don't know all the details but basically the noodles here are thicker and rounder than what you usually get with pho. Doesn't change too much about the experience however since it's really all about the broth. And that's where Mai does okay but not great. We started with the Saigon summer roll which... More

We were heading for Burma Superstar in the afternoon, 6.30 pm. They hadn't opened yet and we later saw that the queue was ridiculous. We had a great meal despite that we were tired after a long flight from Europe. The staff was nice. This is an excellent choice when you want to avoid the queue across the street.

Went here because the wait was too long at Burma Superstar. Mai's is right across the street. This place is fantastic. It is not your run of the mill food. I had the vegetarian rolls which where good..loved the dipping sauce, and the tofu in coconut curry. This sauce was different and better than I have tasted before. My friend had... More

This was our first time dining at Mai's though we've passed it many times before. We had lunch today, and it was a bit late (2 pm) so we had the dining room to ourselves. The servers were quite nice and very friendly, accommodating too. The pho was good according to my son, but he has had better. The shrimp... More

love the beef Pho/ noodles and fried rices, really tasty, very favorable. The best is the service are friendly, the workers speak Chinese (Man. or Canton), plus the best is that it's has a lots of seats.
