Delightful

We walked around San Francisco on July 4; nice visit to the farmer's market at the Ferry Building, but couldn't find anywhere for lunch that didn't involve a very long wait. 5 of us ladies went there. From the time we were seated the waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her. Maybe she was just having an off night. The food was excellent. Firecracker Shrimp for my appetizer and Kobe beef entree both delicious!

Right next to our hotel, Hyatt Regency Embarcadero we found this fantastic and superbly decorated Thai restaurant. I had Pad Thai and it was excellent, the service was quick and efficient. Get the tables overlooking the embarcadero.

Sometimes it's great and other times it's awful. Sometimes it's fast and other times it takes hours. It is suspenseful if nothing else! The green curry is usually pretty good. The pad thai is generally not. Good luck!

The staff acted put out every time we summoned them--and we had to summon them in order to get any service. It seemed as they purposefully avoided eye contact as they walked past our table, never stopping. And when we finally managed to get their attention, the interaction was curt and devoid of pleasantries. I had the vegetarian eggplant dish,... More

Osha is a wonderful experience. The restaurant itself is very comfortable and the chairs are designed so you could sit there for hours. The service was quick as well --- so you may need to slow it down a bit. I was not in the mood for alcohol (they had a great bar) so ordered the Thai Iced Tea ---... More

Delicious food with lots of choices. Everything was tasty. Pad See Eew was one of the best I've had in a long time. Generous portions, so you'll have plenty to share all around.

I had been walking everywhere and wanted somewhere close to hotel where I was for convention. I have eaten Thai, but never gone to a Thai restaurant. The server was very nice and helped me make a selection. I had the duck rolls, and sea bass. Jasmine tea. It was all wonderful - did not care for the lettuce under... More

Dined here a few weeks ago - needed a quick dinner since I had just arrived in San Francisco and wanted to turn in. Osha was one of the few restaurants still open at 21:00 and I was not disappointed. I opted to choose two starters for my meal. The first was the Tuna Tower which was extremely tasty whilst... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
