Great comfort food

Small space but quick service- be prepared to wait but worth it. Good beer selection. All the pub standards with some gourmet surprises.

What I love about this place is that there are staple items here that you can depend on like the fried pickles with spicy dipping sauce and also specials like Swordfish with Lemon Sauce that never disappoint! This is "bar none" one of my most favorite places to eat around Quincy Center. I moved to Quincy 2+ years ago but... More

Visiting a friend who grew up in Quincy and he took us there... Lobster Mac & Cheese was awesome and portion was HUGE..plenty to take home...had a misunderstanding on our order and the owner came over and removed the item from the bill. Probably wise to get there during off-hours or it looks like you might have a wait (but... More

The small size of this restaurant means you're always going to wait for a table but it's worth it. the food is good, the service is excellent. You won't be disappointed.

I have been to the Fat Cat multiple times since it opened and I never have a good feeling leaving. the food is great but not worth the lack of welcoming while you are there. There could be 4 empty tables but you will still have to wait. The hosts are consistently unfriendly and never make eye contact. Can I... More

Let me start off with when I visit other cities, I always like to eat at local places with a great menu and craft beer selection. The Fat Cat is this type of place! I am from this area and was looking for a place to dine after leaving a Boston event. We arrived at 5 pm on A Saturday... More

On serveral Sundays we have enjoyed walking from our Church in Quincy to have lunch at the Fat Cat with our family. Our daughter and grandchildren ages 2 and 4 have had wonderful lunches in this restuarant. The waiters take good care of us knowing our time is limited with the little boys. The service is fast and efficient. We... More

Stopped by for lunch after a visit to the MFA. Started with the pickle chips and they were amazing, tangy with a nice crunch. Followed up with the crab cakes, linguini Alfredo, and the three bean chili. All of it was great, very flavorful and nicely prepared. Ambience is comfortable. We'll be back!

Love the haystack onion rings, Cajun hand cut fries and the buffalo chicken wrap! Fun place, very busy. Expect to wait for a table at typical busy times. Well worth a visit!

While the portions were large, and the menu had some good variety, i would stick to the comfort foods. The mac and cheese varieties are huge, and high quality, yet the seafood was substandard and i didnt even try to finish the meal after the first few bites. Space is cramped and loud, but not enough to be uncomfortable. Drinks... More
