Let me start off with when I visit other cities, I always like to eat at local places with a great menu and craft beer selection. The Fat Cat is this type of place! I am from this area and was looking for a place to dine after leaving a Boston event. We arrived at 5 pm on A Saturday... More

On serveral Sundays we have enjoyed walking from our Church in Quincy to have lunch at the Fat Cat with our family. Our daughter and grandchildren ages 2 and 4 have had wonderful lunches in this restuarant. The waiters take good care of us knowing our time is limited with the little boys. The service is fast and efficient. We... More

Stopped by for lunch after a visit to the MFA. Started with the pickle chips and they were amazing, tangy with a nice crunch. Followed up with the crab cakes, linguini Alfredo, and the three bean chili. All of it was great, very flavorful and nicely prepared. Ambience is comfortable. We'll be back!

Love the haystack onion rings, Cajun hand cut fries and the buffalo chicken wrap! Fun place, very busy. Expect to wait for a table at typical busy times. Well worth a visit!

While the portions were large, and the menu had some good variety, i would stick to the comfort foods. The mac and cheese varieties are huge, and high quality, yet the seafood was substandard and i didnt even try to finish the meal after the first few bites. Space is cramped and loud, but not enough to be uncomfortable. Drinks... More

The portion is huge and I packed the left overs.. My wife had the chili and she liked as well. The advantage of being an lunch is there was... More

Overall the food portions and drinks was great and cheap. Went for the first time on a Thursday night party of 8 extremely long wait, went back for lunch got served immediately. Just know they don't take reservations. But I will be back again for drinks and food only during lunch?

A place that looks, sounds and feels like your comfy local pub- with lots of brick and exposed beam ceilings, couples and groups having a fun night out together, and the noise level that goes with- but that has much better than your typical pub fare. Mahi mahi and scallops sweet and tender, not too salty (which was a relief)-... More

I have been to the Fat Cat a couple of times, food ok, a little too salty. They give you huge portions. I have tried the lobster mac 'n cheese and the buffalo chicken nachos, both good but salty. Staff always great, you do have to wait for a table so go early. Lots of parking around too its easy... More

I've been there several times. Very urban feel without having to go into Boston. Food is very good. Smaller restaurant so you need to get there before 5:30-6 otherwise you'll wait for a table. They do not take reservations. Parking is ready available with big parking lot across from the courthouse. Waitstaff very efficient. Honey butter melts in your mouth.... More
