A real Diner. We love diners. This spot, right on Hancock Street, is a real find. Probably 20 people can sit at the counter and there are maybe 8 booths along the windows but there is no reason not to wait. The staff are as down to earth as you can get - friendly smiles and wonderful service. The menu... More

Stopped in for breakfast with a friend it's cozy. Counter seating and the booths are packed tight. pretty typical for a proper diner. Get here early, limited seating. So about the food? Amazing! Their cooks know how to work a griddle/grill/whatever, and if you're lucky you might hear them singing along with Rihanna, Pink, or another modern pop princess. Eggs... More

I have been going to the Wheelhouse Diner regularly for over 25 years. When I first started going there, I only lived about 1/2 mile away. But now I have to make an 18 mile round trip, so you can imagine what a great place this has been for me. Even though the Wheelhouse is working on its fourth owner... More

Found this Diner through TripAdvisor. Tiny, comfortable place that makes you feel like you live in Quincy. Sat at the bar right in back of the cook at the grill. We talked while he worked (working hard by the way) and had a great time. Great breakfast and very fast and VERY reasonable prices (cash only). I loved this place,... More

In a city surrounded by chain restaurants, the Wheelhouse Diner is a great mom and pop restaurant where the locals go. The staff and patrons are very friendly and seem to all know each other very well. Although the food is good, it's the atmosphere which makes this place worth visiting.

This is exactly what you want from a diner, great breakfast and lunch. I have not eaten late night here but it is possible with their new hours. Pancakes the size of dinner plates, omelets, everything breakfast and the home fries have a magical taste when catsup is added. I recently went to another diner and could not get breakfast... More

The first place I head to after an overnight flight is the Wheelhouse. It is tiny so a weekday breakfast is great but I am sure that it is very crowded on weekends. They have some of the best corned beef hash around. It is inexpensive and very tasty.

Just to keep folks away! Can be a bit of a line on Saturday and Sunday brunch time, it is a fairly small seating area (maybe 30 people can sit in here at any one time?), and the place appears on first bllush to be run down. But it is well worth every second you wait. The waitstaff and chef\owner... More

Driving out of Boston on our way to the Adams Historical Site, needed breakfast. This was a wonderful surprise. Very small, few booths, we sat at the counter. Great to watch the cook handle the eggs, bacon etc. Eggs were done just right. My husband really liked the home made hash. They were out of grape nut pudding as was... More

Charming staff, great food, great prices, nice portions! Every time, consistant goodness! Dont miss this place! Every time I visit Mom, it is a must do on my list. Mom is there weekly. She calls it Cheers, where everyone knows your name.
