Authentic Diner Experience

The food is truly comforting and delicious. Good prices, small, cozy, and will not disappoint if you're into the real diner experience.

Have been going to the "Wheelhouse" for years. Times have changed as before it was good food fast. Lately it has been a frustrating long wait for ok food. Time for the staff to pick it up and have a better welcoming attitude. You go to a small town diner you would expect a happy, speedy, helpful staff...40 min. wait... More

I visit this local diner every weekend usually late night due to choices available that time. You can't beat their breakfast, especially the omelets. Highly recommend over any other establishment in Quincy, Ma for late dining. Overall diners are becoming a rare treat in New England, so enjoy the place while you can. Parking is limited, can get busy but... More

We start every trip with breakfast at the Wheelhouse. Great breakfasts, and the lunch menu is very impressive too. You might have to wait for a table at peak time but its worth it -- it is a small place -- counter and booths -- a lot of regulars dine there and there is a neighborhood feel for the place... More

Had a great breakfast there after the snow storm. Friendly staff, quick service. It is very reasonably priced. Place is small. Recommend any of the egg dishes. Coffee is fresh and hot.

We accidentally stumbled upon this place while I was waiting on my wife at a hair appointment! It's a small space, but they turn over tables quite quick, so don't be put off by a line. We've never had a bad meal there in over 10 trips since August, the breakfast is just exceptional, we haven't found anywhere comparable since.... More

A real Diner. We love diners. This spot, right on Hancock Street, is a real find. Probably 20 people can sit at the counter and there are maybe 8 booths along the windows but there is no reason not to wait. The staff are as down to earth as you can get - friendly smiles and wonderful service. The menu... More

Stopped in for breakfast with a friend it's cozy. Counter seating and the booths are packed tight. pretty typical for a proper diner. Get here early, limited seating. So about the food? Amazing! Their cooks know how to work a griddle/grill/whatever, and if you're lucky you might hear them singing along with Rihanna, Pink, or another modern pop princess. Eggs... More

I have been going to the Wheelhouse Diner regularly for over 25 years. When I first started going there, I only lived about 1/2 mile away. But now I have to make an 18 mile round trip, so you can imagine what a great place this has been for me. Even though the Wheelhouse is working on its fourth owner... More

Found this Diner through TripAdvisor. Tiny, comfortable place that makes you feel like you live in Quincy. Sat at the bar right in back of the cook at the grill. We talked while he worked (working hard by the way) and had a great time. Great breakfast and very fast and VERY reasonable prices (cash only). I loved this place,... More
