My husband has been driving by this restaurant for a week and everyday coming home and remarking on the wonderful garlic aroma wafting in the air. So we went to dinner last weekend and yes, the aroma was wonderful, the food not so much. The place was crowded so we ended up sitting downstairs in the "basement". We felt like... More

Huge salads and large servings. My husband and I shared a salad and "squashed olives " pasta. Very good. Walking distance to hotel.

At first I shied away from this place because of it's prices (not TOO bad) but it was my favorite stop on our Boston visit. Excellent food and good service.

I have very much liked this restaurant since it opened, replacing an Italian restaurant that was once excellent, then changed hand and become pretty bad. Today I ordered takeout. I sat at the bar and ordered one drink while I waited. My order arrived, and the bill came with both my bar tab and take out order combined. I told... More

While my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious food, we were quite irked by the poor service of our waiter. Removing plated food from the table without asking, and when asked 'What are you doing?' He seemed surprised we would even ask. Removed our glasses from the table without asking if we'd like another at any during our meal.... More

Yes it is a bit loud because the bar is large and in the room. Food is good, and wine selection is sufficient. The cacciatore was nice and the vegetable soup was great- home made. Prices reasonable so all in all, good value.

My husband and I had dinner with a friend at Basta Pasta. We were in Quincy on business and I checked trip advisor reviews for Italian food in the area. Basta Pasta had good reviews and was near our hotel so we decided to try it. We were very pleased. The service was outstanding. The bread was good and the... More

I agree that the arancini balls were yummy! Huge portions of pasta. The Caesar was very good with shaved Parmesan and a great house made dressing. I had the eggplant pizza, crispy eggplant with fresh mozzarella and basil. It was very good. They have a full bar but we were a bit disappointed that when we ordered a bottle of... More

Brought my son for his 13th birthday here! We had a lovely time. The arancini rice balls are delectable! I had Chicken Marsala and he had Chicken with Broccoli, etc. Good size servings (both had to be packed up for home!) and good quality. Very nice surprise! The ambiance was nice, too, and as we went early in the evening,... More

The four of us had just had a nice time visiting the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and we always like to eat at a restaurant for a late lunch or early dinner on our way out of Boston. We heard of Basta Pasta and thought it would be worth a stop on our way home to Rhode Island.... More
