Everything at this restaurant is delicious. We started with the tastiest margarita's we've ever had.Out of the three of us we all ordered different salads and each one was fresh and scrumptious. Each one of us had different entree's and we were very impressed with each one.I must say the Teriyaki tofu was incredible.I don't think there was one morsel left... We eat here every year...5yrs running-always is an excellent evening. Atmosphere, menu, service-their house drink the mo-tini is refreshing. We will visit them again before we leave the island. Take my advice, you wont be disappointed, they know what they are doing and do it well- you will enjoy.

Our daughter surprised us with with an anniversary dinner there. We didn't know what to expect, being from Wisconsin, we couldn't have been more pleased. The wait staff was wonderful, and the food was EXCEPTIONAL. They only use fresh, local grown ingredients (which is something we strongly support). WHEN we go back to Bar Harbor, we will definitely make a... More

There are many restaurants in Bar Harbor with red signs trying to lure cruise ship customers in for a bite to eat. Avoid them all and instead make a reservation at Town Hill Bistro. The food is inspired, the staff is down to earth, and the restaurant is charming. I counted ten small tables nestled in a building with exposed... More

My husband and I ate there a few nights ago and the entire meal was great. The restaurant is small so be sure to make a reservation. Also, it was about a 15 drive from Bar Harbor but well worth it and it was easy to find. The staff were attentive yet allowed you to enjoy dinner at your own... More

An interesting little restaurant with a short 15 minute drive from Bar Harbor. We had a reservation, and were happy that we did, as when we arrived there were only a few tables left inside. I would say that the tables are very close to one another, so not as intimate for dining as we had hoped. However, the entrees... More

This meal was outstanding. We tried the top 5-10 restaurants rated on TripAdvisor as of Sept 2013 (Cafe This Way, Mache, Fathom, Town Hill, and some breakfasts like 2 Cats and Great Maine Breakfast / Jeannie's, which aren't really in the same category). All were very good but I particularly enjoyed Town Hill. The location is a bit out of... More

We first ate at the Town Hill Bistro a few years ago and when we returned in September 2013, it was just as good as we remembered. Martinis were nice and dry as ordered. Salads were fresh and crisp with a light dressing. The cheese plate had very tasty offerings (goat and a creamy cow's milk cheese) that were paired... More

I really get why Town Hill is rated one of the top restaurants on MDI, and really don't get the few bad reviews. They're the complete opposite experience that we ever have. Town Hill is the highlight of every trip to MDI and Bar Harbor. This year we forgot to make a reservation ahead of time. When we got to... More

I'm pretty snobby about my food and I love restaurants that are "farm-to-table" which this one boasts. The service, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, everything was amazing!! We also brought my 18 month old and they paid attention to her and were so sweet with her which is not what happens at other restaurants. Make a reservation ASAP! Do... More
