Always excellent food and beer. We always come back. We had the lamburger and soup or chowder and really enjoyed it.

We ate dinner here on a Weds night in Mid-May. Crowded, with mostly locals as it was still preseason. Very nice ambiance, a bit above a normal pub. Excellent waitstaff. Food was better than we expected from a pub, and fairly priced. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We were told by our host that this was one of the best restaurants, we decided to try it. Our thirtieth wedding anniversary. It was not busy, yet we waited to be seated. Finally greeted by the host, I told him the hotel sent us, not very responsive ? Our waitress came , said happy anniversary , but she was...

We went here for dinner on Saturday, May 18 and sat outside on the patio (to later move in to the porch because it was a bit too chilly even with the heaters). The restaurant is very gluten free friendly. The manager (or owner-- not sure) said they make all of their sauces gluten free and can alter dishes that...

Stopped by for dinner on Saturday, May 18,2013, in the mood for a burger. The pub burger was done very well, nicely finished at medium rare, and we'd rate the fries among the best. We had 2 different stout beers and enjoyed both of them. Only problem was that it was prom night so the noise level was up a...

I disliked nothing. I loved the atmosphere, the salmon I ate, and the service. Also, my wife loved her lobster.
We stayed in Bar harbor for a couple of nights and had dinner here. The service was great, the staff were really helpful when my wife and I couldn't decide between a few of their menu items. The Thai green lobster risotto was amazing and my wife absolutely loved the beef sliders, with sweet potato fries.
The staff also advised...

we found McKay's to be very well done- decor wise. My husband and I both chose the duck meatloaf wrapped in prosciutto, i think. It was very tasty. We both enjoyed it, plus mashed potatoes and veg. For dessert we split a sundae (which was good-sized with jack daniels ice cream, brownie, choc. syrup, and candied hazlenuts. I'm not a...

We love food done well, but we weren't terribly hungry the evening we visited McKay's. The restaurant okayed our sharing a very nice filet and salad. The dinner salads are inventive and delicious, and the wine choices are reasonably priced. The restaurant has a lovely outdoors eating area, too. Nice atmosphere.
McKay's is consistently very good. The ambience is pleasant--in an old house just a half block away from the crazy swarms of downtown Bar Harbor. The service is always great. For appetizers we've had the spinach and artichoke dip which is very good. For main courses, the shepherd's pie is great--they use ground lamb for the meat which is a...
