Loved the sweet outdoor seating with white lights in the trees, little round tables. This is why I chose the restaurant. (I always window shop for ambiance). My waitress suggested the Portobello picatta - amazingly delicious. Although the place was busy, Service was excellent. Highly recommended especially on a balmy evening in the outdoor garden (even if you are dining... More

Looked for a quick place to eat as time was short. McKay's is a very nice pub style restaurant with better than average food at reasonable prices. We had the Spinach & Artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was very tasty with more than enough for 2. We then had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and the salmon.... More

Went to McKay's one evening on our honeymoon while wanting something pub-like but without the nastiness of some pubs. This place perfectly fit the bill! We were immediately seated, and thankfully it was just warm enough to enjoy the great outdoor seating area with a live finger style guitarist. While it's far from the fanciest dish available, my wife and... More

Ate dinner on the patio in 40 degree temps. Heat lamps are on but you could see your breath. Food was good - but not exceptional. Wine is always good. This place was crowded!

We had excellent drinks at the bar tenders whim (Chris). Perfect Manhattan. We also had wonderful food. Oysters were amazing. The lamb shepards pie was out of this world!

We stayed 4 nights in Bar Harbor and this was by far the best meal we had during our stay. Great little place with plenty of german heritage.

We come here every year during our annual Bar Harbor one-week vacation. It is always one of the best, if not THE best, meals we've had during that week. Tonight was no exception. The tenderloin tips Gorgonzola were done to perfection, as were the filet mignon and the halibut. This year our party included two small grandchildren, so don't be... More

My wife and I had dinner there October 14. What a waste of money. There were few people in the place when we arrived. Ordered the Fish & Chips and a Burger with Cheese and Mushrooms. I specifically asked if the would cook it medium rare and said if not I understood and would order something else. No problem at... More

Stopped for dinner based on online reviews. I will recommend this place to everyone! Sat outside with twinkling lights and a live guitar player, great ambiance. I had the portobello piccata- baked with almond crumb crust. $17. It was INCREDIBLE!! My husband had the duck meatloaf, steal at $16. Honestly best meal of the trip- even with tons of lobster... This pub style eatery is way more than pub food, the menu is way more, friendly, relaxed atmosphere, great bar, and beer selection but the menu is the real winner here, examples, Beet Salad with grilled chicken, Portobello mushroom and the blueberry pie was killer.
