Fantastic breakfast

My family and I had breakfast here twice during our week long vacation. I had the blueberry pancakes both times and they were delicious. If in Bar Harbor, you MUST go to Jeannies Great Maine Breakfast!! The breakfast selection is wide and varied. Very unusual twists to breakfast ( home fries with 2 eggs over easy, cheese and pot roast. Yes, pot roast! That is so tender that chewing is an option) along with the standards. The blueberry pancakes are SO good there aren't... More

There was a bit of a wait here, even on a weekday, but it was worth it. There is also a very interesting shop to browse in just across the courtyard to help pass the time. The food was delicious, especially the blueberry pancakes and the oatmeal bread.

I friend recommended Jeannie's and also the Route 66 restaurant staff. We arrived at 6:00 am to beat the crowd. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and my wife ordered a omelet. Everything was delicious and the staff were warm and friendly. The strawberry rhubarb spread was so good we bought two jars.I read the first reviewer who said they don't mind... More

Had a bit of a wait, but worth it. Stuffed french toast with strawberry rhubarb compote was out of this world delicious, but you have to be prepared for dessert for breakfast. Also had the poached eggs on herbed biscuits with spinach–would've liked the spinach to be cooked, rather than raw, but overall still very tasty. Will definitely come again.

I guess by now Jeannie's is an institution in Bar Harbor. The coffee cups say "Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast," and that is truth in advertising! Of course you have to order the blueberry pancakes, choice of either a 2-cake or 3-cake stack. Watch out! They're large. The 3-stack is a challenge unless you have a hollow leg.

We were very much looking forward to eating here after reading all of the great reviews. I'm not sure if we are just spoiled, but this breakfast was fair at best and very overpriced for what you got. We enjoy trying new cuisines and never mind spending the money when it's worth it, but do yourself a favor and save... More

A little busy and had a bit of a wait for a table but the food was great. I had garden omlet and my husband had blueberry stuffed french toast. Best breakfast we've had anywhere. A bit pricey for breakfast but expected in a tourist town. So good I dont even care.

The menu at Jeannie's Great Maine breakfast offers a wide variety of dished including oatmeal walnut pancakes, yogurt with granola, which was helped by adding their homemade strawberry rhubarb jam. The egg croissant was more than adequate for one. They did not offer hot oatmeal which I found odd
