Really delicious beer. Nice setting -- especially because it was NOT in the touristy part of town. Low-key, laid-back service. So good I went two times. The rest of the town is so damned touristy that it's hard to want to do anything there. The park is gorgeous and this brewery is reminiscent of beer gardens in Germany. Go, sit... More

Do not miss! Combo platter was great. All meat was tender and cooked correctly. Sauce was not overpowering. Potato salad and cold slaw was average, beans were spicy. Bench picnic table seating.

We were on our way home from Lubec, Maine on Labor Day and realized we'd need to find dinner before getting back to Bangor. Since we were in Ellsworth, we decided to drive the 10-15 minutes out to Atlantic. We had had their Island Ginger at Beer Camp and wanted to get some more. Fortunately, Mainely Meat is located at... It took us off of the beaten path. We dined picnic style. The barbeque was delicious. The gift shop was forthcoming.

In the afternoon there is a Bar-B-Que with some tasty entrees and of course locally brewed beer (I like the Blueberry Ale). Very, very casual atmosphere (indoor picnic tables under a tent.)

After long days of hitting the trails hiking, you work up a great appetite. My husband and I ate at the Mainly Meat BBQ 2 times in the week we were visiting Acadia National Park. We're no stranger's to this place. We always order the same meal ( pulled pork, potato salad, coleslaw, beans, cornbread) Blueberry soda for me, and root beer... More

Located 4-5 mi outside of Bar Harbor, worth the time to experience this low key outdoor beer tasting and bbq. The beers are excellent and people friendly, but the smoked meat sampler dinner was excellent. You can't beat the cost, free beer tasting and the sampler plate was $15.00! The outdoor bbq is only open through October, but if you... More

We began our evening with the 4pm tour of brewery/tasting. Short but interesting. Then dinner outside under a covered area. Folk singer on hand to entertain. She was good. Food was pleasantly good. We had been to Mainly Meats on Hwy 3 last year but it was a disappointment so we were afraid we would have another similar experience since... More
