Wonderful!

We've been to Burning Tree four or five times over the past several years and it never disappoints! We recently had a fabulous dinner there to celebrate a special occasion. If you like fish/seafood and vegetables you will not find another place in the Acadia area that has such a wide selection... read more

We've been to Burning Tree four or five times over the past several years and it never disappoints! We recently had a fabulous dinner there to celebrate a special occasion. If you like fish/seafood and vegetables you will not find another place in the Acadia area that has such a wide selection and such interesting preparations. Usually when I look... More

My husband and I read about this place in one of our many guides. Even though it was a Saturday night in August, my husband was able to snag us a table because of a cancellation. The outside is nothing special and I almost mistook it for someone's house which I'm sure it used to be. The parking lot is... More

The food was good, but the staff was extremely cool and patronizing, as if they were doing us a favor. They tried to sit us in the broiling front room, which had no air conditioning, even though the rest of the restaurant was empty. No one asked how our meal was, and the entire experience made us feel as if... More

My husband and I and our three adult children and daughter-in-law ate here on a Saturday night in mid-August after a long day of hiking. I'd made the reservation two weeks in advance. We've stayed in the Mount Desert area before so I know what it's like to try to snag a table for a large party at the last... More

We ate at a couple of other restaurants in Bar Harbor and this was our absolute favorite. The service, food and atmosphere was great. We loved the attention to detail that was given to the food as well as the restaurant itself. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are the type that appreciates beautiful meals.

This is clearly where the carriage trade dines, decorously removed from the hoi polloi in Bar Harbor (which is a nightmare in the summer). We had a really good dinner here, good food thoughtfully prepared, but all felt there was something lacking about the experience (and this is an experience where you are shelling out north of $30 for an... Great Restaurant, fantastic food, sophisticated farm to table in Maine. Causal setting, mostly locals--which says alot! Recommend!

The atmosphere is casual but the food is very upscale. If it doesn't have the best food on the island it is up there with the best. Their specialty is seafood. When we were there they had a couple of vegetarian options, but carnivores will find a very limited choice. The haddock with with Pernod sauce was simply heavenly and... More

My wife and I spent our last of 10 days in Maine at Burning Tree for dinner. Molly served us. Everything was fabulous. The Asian flavored lobster salad was outstanding and the the shard leaf stuffed lobster and scallop mousse with Sorrell sauce entree was unbelievable. We also snuck in a few fried squash blossoms which are to die for.... More

First off, the food was good! The waitress was very helpful and pleasant. The squash blossoms were tasty and the pork belly wraps were yummy. The bouillabaisse was really good with the bread for mopping up. The only thing was after asking if we could be re-seated after being put near the doorway in a nearly empty restaurant, it seemed...
