Great food; lots of organic options. The flatbread is a must as well as the clam pasta. And the fritters are also a great appetizer option. Never miss a year without eating here. I always get a reservation because it gets busy during the summer!

The Burning Tree is a long established restaurant in Otter Cliffs, that serves fresh and delicious food just steps from Acadia National Park not far from the resort town of Bar Harbor Maine. While small in size, the restaurant benefits from an organic garden and an engaging, helpful young wait staff eager to please and make sure that guests enjoy... More

The restaurant is about 10 minutes outside of the downtown district. It is well worth the short drive and a peaceful setting. The gardens onsite provide a glimpse into the fresh ingredients that are artfully woven into the unique menu options. Our party ordered the sole special which was outstanding, and regular menu items: Monk fish, crab cakes, Chicken &... More

A thoroughly delightful dining experience. Huge menu. The highlight was the fresh vegetables from their own garden out back

We travel to Bar Harbor every year and always make a point to eat at Burning Tree at least once. They have gardens where they grow many varieties of vegetables that they use in the restaurant so you know things are fresh. The stuffed squash blossoms (when they have them) are amazing! We have never had a bad meal or... More

I go to the Burning Tree every year and they never dissapoint. The fish is ALWAYS cooked perfectly. The flavors, service, wine and ambience is absolutely exquisite without being pretentious.

They say that Burning Tree is in Bar Harbor, but it is not in the town. it is about 15 minutes away in a little town called Otter Creek. Well worth the drive though, as the food is very special. This restaurant is excellent in every way except for the party of 8 seated next to us who were a... More

This was my 4th visit to the Burning Tree and go every time I am in Bar Harbor. It is pure joy....always. It is unassuming from the outside but please note their expansive gardens where they grow many of the vegetables and herbs used in the restaurant. The service is wonderful and friendly without being obtrusive. The food is just... More

This is a dinner you treat yourself to once and a while. We eat here once a year when we are in town, and have for many years. Consistently good food, service and atmosphere. Elegant surroundings, first class all the way. We arrived just before our reservation time and were warmly greeted and seated immediately. The server went over the... More

My husband and I ate dinner during our recent vacation in Bar Harbor. We asked some locals what restaurants they would recommend, and Burning Tree was consistently on the top of their lists, so we figured we had to give it a try. SERVICE: We called ahead to get a reservation for 8 pm on a Wednesday, and were a... More
