Lunch stop

Stopped by the Thirsty Whale for lunch. Very good fish sandwich. Local beer was great! Service was ok.

Still one of my favorite places for lunch - in my case the Haddock Sandwich - well seasoned and cooked, and the Whale Salad - crisp with a hint of pimentos. 'Basic' but the best.

Both my husband and I got burgers for lunch and we really enjoyed them!! They were perfectly cooked which in many places they always seem to overcook them My son got the clam chowder and the fried fish sandwich. He really enjoyed his..Service was good Place gets busy so they must be doing something right!.

We had the haddock fish sandwiches which were delicious. Had to wait for a table as it isn't a large place. Service was good once we were seated.

We went to the thirsty whale at the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel. He told us this was a place that was open yesr ound where all the locals ate. The staff was very friendly and inviting and the prices were very reasonable. Food was good but not fantastic. The lobster roll that I had, while tasty, was... More

We stopped in for a drink but ended up having a snack. The hummus is great. It comes with olive tapenade and some feta cheese.

Our second time back after 10 years, and it's still one of our favorites. The establishment is small with a pub setting, and there is most always a wait to be seated. The lobster rolls and clam chowder are very good and competitively priced. If your are looking for a fancy restaurant, this is not your place. Great food in... More

Delicious homerun burger for my daughter and myself after a day of fishing. Great service. Returned a few days later with the rest of the family.

Great for a quick and filling lunch! All 5 of us had delicious lobster rolls with unlimited ice cream! A great pick me up before afternoon activities.

Awesome food, good size portions, quick service, corn chowder with lobster rocked, grilled cheese with Cesar salad and the fish and chips melted in your mouth. Not a place to pass up, very reasonable prices.
