This pub offered great seafood, New England atmosphere, and good prices. The line at the front door told us good food was inside. The line moved quickly and we were glad we followed the recommendation.

I thought the Lobster Roll was excellent and my wife enjoyed her haddock sandwich. It had a huge piece of fish. The NE Clam chowder was excellent, too.

We enjoyed an order of fried clams. Delicious! Also; the local Blueberry soda. A great burger and a hummus plate.

Great burgers, good beer, and excellent local blueberry soda. They have gluten free buns for those of us who can't handle gluten. Mind you... a quick warning... the first burger they brought me had a regular bun. I thought it looked a little too good to be true and I asked if it was really gluten-free. It wasn't. The waitress... More

Came in for a late lunch but so did a lot of others. We put our name on the waiting list but found two seats at the bar. The bartender was great. He immediately came over and took our drink order. When he wasn't attending to his customers he was helping the hostess. I ordered the lobster and corn chowder... More

We ate here twice. Salmon sandwich was big and tasty. Shrimp portion is large, salad was fresh. Would love to have a friendly bar with friendly service like this at home.

We live within an hour of Bar Harbor and come here often for their great seafood. This is casual and relaxing dining with friendly waitresses who don't rush you. We like to relax and enjoy one of their many draft beers before ordering food. Our favorites are the fried clams, seafood sampler and the fish and chips. They are always... More

Service was terrible. No one seemed to care if we were here or not. We will not be back and I doubt anyone here working cares.

We wanted a casual place for dinner and chose Thirsty Whale. To be honest it met our expectations. It was a small pub and had decent food. My husband had a burger and I had the haddock sandwich. Everything was fresh and hot. The waitress was friendly and service was quick. (No waiting)

The food was fresh and delicious! The music was excellent and it was a fun, cool and relaxed place to hang out with friends!! If you are a vegetarian in Bar Harbor, you HAVE TO have the Veggie Burger!! I'd go back there just for that!
