Chili Dogs and Burgers and beer. Pleasant atmosphere, lovely servers. Def recommend if you're looking for a pleasant pub grub situation.

This place was recommended by our hotel and was just down the street so we walked. We sat at the high table in one of the window areas which was nice. We had some beers while we looked over the menu. The fish and chips were very good - made from freshly caught haddock. The wait staff could have been... More

My husband and I traveled to Bar Harbor for our honeymoon, planning to explore Acadia National Park and to eat lots of seafood. (We're from Michigan, and we both wanted some good lobster). The Thirsty Whale Tavern was one of many restaurants recommended to us by the owner of the bed and breakfast where we were staying. We ate at... More

Nice place to catch lunch. The menu was really a nice find to see a number of gluten free choices. The GF roll for the lobster roll was good as was the lobster (of course). It was nice to get that option and BTW - it was good!!!!

Hands down the best blackened fish in Bar Harbor. My husband could have eaten here every night we were in town. Great service, good beer selection and awesome local eats all for a nice price. We slipped in right before the dinner rush and when we were leaving the wait was over 40 minutes. It is worth the wait so... More

We wanted something casual with a pub like atmosphere. This fit the bill perfectly. Several different brews on tap. The food was your basic bar fare. I had a blackened fish and chips which was Great! Seemed like the neighborhood tavern for the area, lots of locals socializing and watching the Bruins.

Bar Harbor is crazy on Race Weekend- thankfully we did not have to wait long for 4 of us to get a table. Food Was GOOD- but my Lobster roll was surprise- SMALL - I kept trying to decide if I should order a second one... but that left room for Blueberry pie from down the street. Salads looked good-... When we arrived, we were greeted and our drink order was taken promptly. About 10 minutes after we received our drinks our food order had not been taken, even though several tables that came in after us had been able to place their food orders. We could not see our waitress at the time, so I went to the bar... More

We have gone here several times over the years and always been pleased. Last night was no exception. I had the barnyard surf which is a great mix of chicken fingers and fish nuggets. The fish was fresh and tasty, as was the chicken. I also got the sweet potato fries with it, all for rather cheap. My husband ordered... More

We took a cruise to Bar Harbor in early October, and so we got off of our tender boat at the dock. We walked through the tourist spots and even had a 10% off coupon at the close by restaurant. We looked up restaurants in the area and found this one. It had a very good rating and it was... More
