3 rd restaurant in Bar Harbor area ofr us. BEST thus far. Book res. Suggest outside up until about 45 minutes after sunset. If after that suggest screened portion of outside. Inside is a more formal dinner setting. Great lobster and good prices. Shrimp more than we could eat. Good service. Favorable wine prices ($48 - Rombauer Chard)

We had dinner on the deck overlooking Frenchman's Bay. The food was good and we enjoyed the view, but the service wasn't what I expected in a fairly nice seafood restaurant. Our server seemed to forget our table and didn't stop by to refill drinks or see if we needed anything. It was fine but not exceptional.

Great Lobster rolls, a beautiful view overlooking the ocean, service was prompt and enjoyed our lunch so much we went back the next day to yet another perfect repeat. We sat inside the air conditioned section of the restaurant and there were pretty fresh flowers, linen tablecloths with a candle. We thought the lobster roll was delicious and very reasonably... This is the place to go if you want reasonably priced seafood with a great view over the water. The food is basic seafood, well-cooked, but not very inventive. My husband had the steamed lobster which he said was fine. The vegetables were overcooked. I had halibut, which was well-cooked. My husband had the blueberry pie for dessert. He said... More

We both had a really good meal, served in just the right portion. We sat out on the deck overlooking Frenchman's Bay. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect. This is a really nice place that is convenient if your staying in town or out along Rt 3. Service was prompt and pleasant. There seems to be plenty of... More

If I could I would eat dinner here every night. It's not going to be the least expensive dinner you've ever eaten, but it's so worth the money!

The Chart Room is a short drive, maybe a mile, from of the main part of town in Bar Harbor. Old school restaurant with curb appeal worthy of a photo op. We actually found a painting of this place in a gallery in SW Harbor. My husband had the surf and turf and enjoyed it. I had steamers that were... More

My lady friend and I stopped at the Chart Room for dinner on 7/12/14. We chose a table on the open patio. I ordered the Steamers for an appetizer, she ordered the French Onion Soup. The steamers were cooked perfectly and so was the French Onion Soup. For entree's I ordered the Seafood Medley and she ordered the Fried Scallops.... More

My wife and I ate the Chart Room for dinner. It was recommended by the Innkeeper of the B&B we were staying at. Casual fare style - but great location along the water - with great views. The food was well prepared and tasted great! Staff and service top notch. Would recommend and eat here again. Especially like the Lobster... More
