On a former trip this was one of our favorite places for breakfast but since we had stayed at a B and B on our last few trips, we did not have an opportunity to eat here until this year. We were really looking forward to returning and I was especially looking forward to the Mediterranean breakfast that I remembered... More

One of the best places for breakfast in Bar Harbor. Lovely setting and great food and service. Choices for vegetarian and non vegetarians.

Well everything we had heard about 2 cats was true, it was delicious, and expensive. Only real disappointment was that they no longer have cats.

It seems that everyone in Bar Harbor eats at 2Cats, but it's worth the wait. Delicious pancakes, coffee and eggs benedict. The staff is friendly and competent.

...but be prepared to wait... After the wait you'll have some difficult menu choices as they are all good and many menu items are unique to only Two Cats. The only suggestion I have for this restaurant is they need to improve upon their biscuit recipe - they are too dry.

We stopped at 2 Cats on the advise of a waitress from another restaurant we were at the night before(that one did not serve breakfast). It was a really neat restaurant. We were set right away and was brought two steaming mugs of coffee. Our meal was very good, Mine an egg white omelet with mushrooms, bacon & cheese and... More

We had breakfast here on our last day in Bar Harbor. It was fantastic. I had the classic eggs Benedict. It was probably one of the best I have had. My girlfriend had gluten free blueberry pancakes and thick cut bacon. They were so good, she questioned whether they were gluten-free (which they were.) The bacon was excellent. My son... More

Great food in a quirky setting. Comments at our first breakfast included, "These are the best blueberry pancakes I've ever eaten," and "These are the fluffiest biscuits I've every tasted." And that's not to mention the lobster omelette. Food is great, service is friendly. No wonder it's always busy. But they take reservations, which most breakfast places don't do. So... More

Quaint restaurant. Excellent breakfast. I had the feta, Mushroom and bacon omelet. Fresh squeezed OJ was great. Cooked to perfection and served with a very tasty biscuit. We had to wait for over 45 minutes to be seated but was worth it. You have a great garden to look at as you wait. Service was good but could improve.

2 cats has a creative menu that incorporates lots of local ingredients in the tastiest of combinations. Eight of us had different meals and everyone was happy. The variety on the menu pleased all of our palettes immensely. We loved the biscuits and found it hard not to fill up on them! I had lobster omelette, which was a special;... More
