The staff was very friendly and the food was awesome. The wait was long in the line but well worth it.
A place with charm, and an interesting menu. Food was good. We managed to spend over $110 for breakfast for 3 adults, and two kids. Large appetites and a lot of a la carte ordering on our part. Glad there was someplace to eat, and they let our little reunion stay quite a while without making us feel that we... More
The breakfast was delicious, a little pricey but worth it. They have actual cats walking about the restaurant. This did not set well with my husband. If you like cats, then fine but if not, better look for another place to enjoy breakfast in Bar Harbor.
Typically a long wait but we opted to sit "outside," which is partially enclosed but a little colder than inside so the wait was much shorter. The name "2 Cats" was quickly noted when one of the cats jumped up on my girlfriends lap to join us for breakfast, his name was George. Food was great, all fresh. Friendly staff.
We were at Two Cats in June 2012. We sat outdoors on a sunny Friday morning, and completely enjoyed our fabulous meals, and the ambience in their outdoor seating area. If you love to support great little locally owned businesses, even if you don't love cats, this is a MUST DO for breakfast in Bar Harbor.
We were in Bar Harbor for a wedding weekend, and went to Two Cats after family members raved about it. What a disappointment! The biscuits were dry and the jam was smuckers, in those tiny little packages you might get at an IHOP. Other than the cute cat pictures on the walls, there's nothing to get excited about here.
Plan to relax and enjoy a morning out. The 2 cats is an experience of fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere and a place to meet friends and enjoy a few ours with each other. Quality homemade food takes a while, but sooo worth it.
We ate at 2 Cats twice during our stay in Bar Harbor, since our Inn didn't offer breakfast. We are so glad we had the chance to eat here! This is not an inexpensive choice, but if you want to splurge, and treat yourself, you won't be disappointed. Everything is made to order, with very fresh ingredients. The first morning,... More
This place is the bomb for breakfast!!! We were given a tip to eat here by some workers (we were staying at the West Street Hotel-very nice place), and boy, did they not steer us wrong! Go early, as there are no reservations, and the line forms pretty quickly. Oh, and bring your appetite; portions are monster-sized! The breakfast burrito... More
