After a week in Maine, it was a true pleasure to discover Havana. The menu was a welcome departure of excellent but repetitive fare we had been having. The atmosphere is warm and lively with with a friendly staff. We started with the Vegetarian Mixed Gril that had a big variety of flavors and vegetables. The Herb Crusted grilled smoked... More

Warm, pleasant restaurant a bit off the beaten track, but worth the extra walk. Cool menu with lots of satisfying choices. The paella is a healthy portion loaded with all the best seafood...no skimping on the lobster.

Celebrated our anniversary here and what a treat it was! Great food, inventive menu, outstanding service, cool atmosphere. Highly recommend dining here while in Bar Harbor as it's by far the nicest place in town.

After a long day of hiking & biking we wanted to treat ourselves to a special dinner. Having dined @ Havana during it's time in Portland, we knew it would be the right choice. The wine list is robust w/ many fine choices & I hear the mojitos are great. We started out w/ the Havana salad & spring rolls... More

We were looking for a change of pace from a steady diet of lobster. Havana hit the mark! Excellent service from our waitress Georgia. Great menu recommendations, both food and wine. We liked the menu variety. Still had seafood but with a unique flare. Highly recommend the crab cake appetizer and seared tuna dish. One of the best places on... More

Havana has an amazing wine list and great sommelier and the food is outstanding! We spent a over a week in Maine and this was probably the best dinner of the trip.

Interesting twist on Cuban food in downtown Bar Harbor. The blueberry feta cornbread was simply divine. Spring rolls also excellent. The vegetarian bolognese (+ optional chorizo) was one of the hugest entrees I have ever been served - plan accordingly! For drinks, we loved the non-alcoholic sangria and the Periodista cocktail.

Perhaps my mistake. Ate at the grill instead of waiting for a table inside. The tenderloin component of the mixed grill was absolutely awful. Overcooked to extreme. Almost like the dried stuff you buy in a plastic packet. Dreadful. rest was just OK. Oysters not a patch on Street&Co in Portland. No wonder they were served with a chile viniagrette.... More
