We had dinner here twice this trip. Poor Boy's is a must have everytime we are in Bar Harbor. The Salmon with the walnut glaze is my favorite! My husband likes the stuffed haddock. The place is cute and cozy, service is always good, food is delicious! Make a reservation to reserve your table.

Visited Poor Boy's are last night in Bar Harbor. Waited in the crowded bar 15 minutes before being seated in a booth in a congested corner, another 10 minutes for the server to take our order and then another 60 min for our food to be served. Our server did not check on us between taking our order and delivering... More

We;ve eaten here a number of times over the years. It is losing it's appeal. The food isn't as good. Had the lobster scampi - lobster was generous but the pasta was undercooked & clumped together - small portion of pasta. My husband had the lobster fradiablo - sauce not as good and lobster not as generous.Service is rushed. No... More

We were in bar harbor for 4 days and poor boys was the best we had. All the staff was very friendly and the good was second to none. They have more of a variety of food than anywhere else and the prices are the most reasonable. Make a reservation if you don't want to wait.

My wife was very happy with her stone crab dinner, she loved the Lobster bisque! The lobster saute was alright but the portions of lobster were quite small compared to other restaurants we went to later in Bar Harbor. I learned to order butter on the side here though.

After many years of visiting Bar Harbor, we decided to try some different restaurants and discovered we should be sure to keep Poor Boy's in the plan. The food is wonderful and the Lobster Feast is one of the best values in town. We will definitely return on our next stay In Bar Harbor.

On the negative side I have two grumbles. Firstly after we had our orders taken the waitress came back some time later to say they had run out of potatoes - how on earth does a restaurant run out of potatoes. Then a little later she came back again to say they had run out of the main course I'd... More

I recently dined at Poor Boy's Gourmet with my family and we all had a fabulous time. Everything - the food, the service, the atmosphere - was top-notch. We've been dining at Poor Boy's for years, and have never been disappointed. What I love most about it is their menu features all-time favorites - like the lobster saute and "Lobster... More

I came here to gorge myself on pasta. I had seen in a local dining guide that they have an early bird dinner special: $11.99 for pasta, with a second serving free. The carboholic in me jumped for joy. Much as I love seafood, I needed a non-fish dinner. OK, I'll be honest. I just needed to cram my face... More
