We had dinner here during our visit to Bar Harbor. My husband had the steamed lobster (once again - I teased him that he was going to turn into a lobster before our vacation was over) and I had the broiled haddock with scampi sauce. Both were scrumptious. We were fortunate to get a table without waiting because this restaurant... More

The food at Poor Boy's is good, the prices are reasonable, and the location is convenient for those who are visiting Bar Harbor. We found the wait staff to be courteous and helpful. The seafood dishes are quite good and fresh.

Best place for dinner, with plenty of ways to enjoy the local lobster. I ordered the lobster sauté (which comes in two sizes--get the smaller one cuz the butter makes it VERY rich), and my wife got the lobster scampi. Both were delicious. This place has awesome deserts too!

Our inn keeper recommneded this restaurant as it was loved by the local people. I highly recommend this place. I had the crab cakes and they were excellent. Nice atmosphere and the service was very good. Much better than some of the restaurants in the more traveled tourist area.

While visiting Bar Harbor, we inquired with a local merchant who had the best local food and were directed toward this restaurant. At the end of the retail mania, a quaint looking house now restaurant was drawing a crowd around 4 pm. The restaurant opened at 430 pm with many of them discussing their dining experience from the night before.... More

Like every other place on Main Street, make a reservation for dinner on a weekend. Inside is fairly crammed, but there are outside tables with more space, although the chairs are not very comfortable. My wife ha da 'bakced stuff scallops casserole that was very dry, but the dish was so hot she was able to melt a few spoonfuls... More

I chose this restaurant because of the blueberry daiquiri, and it was wonderful! For dinner, I had salmon with dill sauce and my husband had a lobster dish. Both were very good! The server was attentive and helpful. Great meal.

we ate here twice and liked both times. Fish dishes were really tasty and the staff was really nice too. They offer a wine special for a low price but you have to ask for it as it is not show on the menu. Desserts are good as well but you have to save some space in your stomach.
