Poor Boy's is our favorite in Bar Harbor! We go there each time we are in town. The food is wonderful, service is great, and the desserts are AMAZING! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like family. I suggest making a reservation!

Our food was well prepared and presented. I can't say I remember anything remarkable about the food, just that it was a filling and enjoyable meal. The only downside was the service. It seemed that at times, our server forgot about us. Perhaps it was due to understaffing, since it was early in the season.

I stopped here because I heard rave reviews about the blueberry pie. It's supplied by a local lady who is apparently awesome and in high demand. It just so happened to be happy hour. The happy hour prices and beer choices (though few on tap) were good. The pie (minus the "taste-free" ice cream) was to die for. I will... More

For our last night in Bar Harbor we stood in line for a table at Poor Boys and it was worth the wait! This is wildly popular for a reason. Lovely hostess did a great job of managing reservations and walk ups with a smile and much graciousness. Large variety of Italian based menu. Husband had Lobster Poor Boy and... More

Food was just OK. The blueberry daiquiris were excellent however! Would go back for them but not the dinner.

Home made pasta and sauce, large portions, friendly and prompt service coupled with reasonable prices and an okay wine list make this a must visit in Bar Harbor. They take reservations and when the town is full of tourists, it's a good idea to make them.

At the far end if Main Street you will find this gem. The staff is friendly from the hostess, bartender to serving staff. Great selection & staff recommendation was spot on. Save room for dessert so many wonderful choices it was hard to decide.

the food was very good and the server was friendly and efficient she kept checking back without being obnoxious about it. I'm picky about Italian food and this was a good place to eat. if you are looking for a nice place with very good seafood pasta try them out. very reasonable cost too which is nice when the food... The selection of seafood at Poor Boy's Gourmet is excellent, but the dessert menu is most impressive with more than 20 items including sugar free and gluten free selections. One of the best in Bar Harbor.

After a long winter, returning to Bar Harbor, is always an adventure, seeing who is still there and who is gone. Bumping into old friends and making new ones. Today's experience was pure joy. The Poor Boy Gourmet has always been for me, a fantastic dining experience, and fun. The food tonight was amazing, we had the baked stuffed Haddock,... More
