Beautiful outlook for dinner

Chowder and lobster bisque great and homemade salad dressing to die for. But expensive. A couple at the next table, once seated, realised they were out of their money zone but didn't want to leave without trying something. They had the chowder.

Perhaps the chef had an off day when we were there. The staff were friendly, the ambience was fine (we were lucky to get a balcony table, there are only 4) but really the food was poor. I had lobster bisque which had not one bit of lobster in it and tasted as if it had been watered down to... More

This restaurant is directly next to Geddy's and serves seafood in a finer presentation. I ate a whole lobster there and it was lovely. The sides were minimal (Are three or four spears of asparagus on a half cup of wild rice adequate? I wished I had more asparagus). The desserts were to-die-for. We had the creme brûlée and the... Went to Galyn's when they first opened for the season, we started at the bar:) Great bar to order a beverage and appetizer, relaxing and friendly; the service is excellent. At dinner in the upstairs dining room, waitress was very attentive and helpful. My scallops were excellent!!!!! I am sorry I had no room for dessert:(

Galyn's was Ok. Nothing bad about it, but not that special for the pricing. The service was great. The food was OK. well drinks were weak and small, salad was a few bites, but the Salmon was good. A bit pricy. View is good, if you get one of the few tables by the window.

We sat on the second floor overlooking the ocean. The food and drinks were great. Our waitress, Martha (I think), was very friendly.

Excellent! We had lobster and were very pleased. Ask to go to the second floor and you have a great view of the bay. Our server was very helpful as we had not had lobster before. A throughly enjoyable dinner and experience. The "early bird" special is an added value.

We ate here our first night in town on recommendation of the owner of the b&b we were staying in. The food was good but it was expensive. If you don't care about the price, try it.

We really enjoyed this restaurant since the food was excellent, the service terrific, and the prices reasonable. The managed to get us in without a reservation and sat upstairs which is recommended. Great seafood choices with lobster of course a staple in Bar Harbor but also nice steaks as well.

For years we have been going to Galyn's for dinner when we are in Bar Harbor. I hate to even say anything for fear of letting everyone in on a great find, but their menu is so consistently good. I especially have to say how awesome the "Mediterranean Scallops" are. This is My Husband's and my favorite dish there. The... More
