My son and his fiance got married tonight on the boardwalk next to the harbor in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine this evening. After the ceremony we had reservations for 7 at Galyn's. We were greeted like celebrities. We had a huge room upstairs to ourselves for most of the evening. The food was fantastic and so was the service. It... More

Friendly professional service. After having lobstah for previous 3 days I wanted a burger. I was not disappointed, it turned out to be one of the best I have had. It was cooked to perfection, piled high with toppings and served on a French bun.

Lovely restaurant and very accommodating. They were able to squeeze us in when they were super busy. The staff was gracious and knowledgable. They had a nice selection of gluten free and were designated on the menu. They even had GF desserts. The meal was very good. Would definitely return.

We stopped in this restaurant as a spur of the moment thing while on vacation in Bar Harbor. We were pleasantly surprised. We were seated upstairs in the "kids room" as we have 11 & 12 year olds. Most every other table in the room had children as well. Yet, it was not overly noisy. Service was very good. The... More

Being in Bar Harbor at the height of the tourist season, we made reservation at Galyn's in advance. We were seated on a small balcony with only four tables overlooking the harbor and a small park. Even though it was just above the sidewalk and street it was perfectly peaceful and romantic. Our meals were delicious and service excellent. We... More

Amazed by the other reviews. This was the second or third time we have visited this restaurant while in Bar Harbor. Nice table downstairs by a window. Wonderful BOILED lobster, butter and broccoli, though the rice was poor. Interesting local beer to accompany it We would return.

Great view of the harbor but food is mediocre, at best. Then again this is a tourist town and most of the restaurants here are likely similar. Lobster bisque good. Would not go back.

I would definitely go here if you manage to get a spot on the small deck! The view is great and also great for people watching on the street. The focaccia skins appetizer were out of this world delicious, but the sandwiches we had for lunch were just okay. Perhaps this is more of a dinner spot! Didn't make it... More

My husband and I recently stopped into this restaurant and were seated upstairs by the hostess fairly quickly. We both went to the washroom, studied the menu, chose drinks..... we waited 10-15 minutes to be acknowledged by *anyone* else. There was no initial contact by the waitstaff, no glass of water, no 'hello, I'll be right with you'.... nothing. It... More
