Sat on the porch for lunch, wonderful place to people watch while you eat. You are also treated to the boats in the harbor coming and going. Clam chowder was outstanding, I like the fact that the potatoes were cut very small and there were a lot of clams in the chowder. My wife had the lobster bisque which was... More

I had clam chowder and crab cake for my meal and they were both very good. My mom had the crab stuffed mushrooms for and appetizer and they were not good, especially for the price. We shared the blueberry apple crisp for dessert - it was okay but mostly was just blueberries and apples not much crisp and it was... More

Have dined here on previous trips to Bar Harbor. Best place to eat dinner. The food here cannot be beat. The prices are reasonable. Located across the street from the harbor in the shopping area of Main Street.

Very nice place with old time feel. Obviously many locals were also eating supper. Food was very good but a bit pricey for what you get. Apparently known for their prime rib in addition to all the fish items, but were sold out early.

My experience at this location was horrible enough not to want to visit Bar Harbor Maine again. The service, drinks and food were a waste of time and money. If you are interested in authentic Maine cuisine don't waste your time here. There is a Irish Pub around the corner called Paddy's that has a much better menu and the service... More

We had the most lovely lunch at Galyn's. I must admit was a little concerned since this was recommended by cruise and many of those ended up being tourist traps. But Galyns was sooooo good. The weather was perfect for sitting outside and this had great view of the harbor. I loved the lobster menu options-Lobster Tail lunch was perfect..a... More

Our first dinner in BH - very good! I had the twin lobster tails and my wife had the lobster in puff pastry. Both were delicious. Blueberry/apple tart with vanilla ice cream capped the evening. As others have said, the view was very nice - it was a bit chilly, so we did not eat on the outdoor balcony, but... More

We came here on our first day in town. We were able to get a seat on the second floor in front of the window. Amazing views! We watched boats come in and out of the harbor as we enjoyed a spectacular meal. The appetizers, salad and main courses were amazing. We had a Lobster Enchilada and a fresh Haddock!... More

We are repeat customers, not just this trip, but for years. They could not have cared less. We requested a nice table upstairs. They seated us at a table for 4 directly at the top of the stairs right in the traffic flow. They would not let us sit at an adjacent table for 4 out of the traffic pattern.... More

We were recommended to this resturant by the owners of the bed and breakfast we stayed at. We started out with the ceasar salad really hood. The we had the main lobster. We have been eating lobster all over New England . Their lobsters were one of the best. They have two different lobsters.,a hard shell and a younger lobster.... More
