Delicious Route 66 Lobster

We ate at Route 66 for dinner. We were glad to stop in because it had lots of paraphernalia of yesteryear. The place has lots of collectibles and signs to keep your eyes wandering until the meal comes. The service was great. Maine lobster special was delicious. Our teen and preschooler enjoyed the... read more

This was recommended by a member of staff at our hotel who was local. To be honest, it was our second choice but the first had a waiting time of an hour and a half and we hadn't booked. We'd popped in to 66 at lunch time to look at the menu and the staff were helpful. So we pitched... More

With three teens (two picky vegetarians) hungry at 8:30 pm, we were looking for a casual dinner that wasn't in a crowded bar. The front of the restaurant is the nose of a 50's cab and the menu looked like it was acceptable to all so we gave it a try. It didn't look too busy, and we were seated... More

Went for a late lunch with my husband and 3 daughters, ages 4, 11, and 14. We had just about the whole place to ourselves. Wait staff were extremely pleasent and friendly. My family loved the decor! Our entire meal was full of "look at that!!". Food was good and reasonably priced. Fries were amazing! We will be back for... More

Find somewhere else ... Nothing special. My husband and I stopped for lunch and he said it reminded him of a scene from pulp fiction... Our waitress also sang our order... Enter at your own risk

this is the most unique restaurant. all 1960's decor and the menu is huge. but the food is good. from burgers and fries, to cherry cokes. haven't had them since high school and they taste the same as they did back then. deserts are good. service is excellent lots to see while you are eating. do not be put off... A fun place reminiscent of a 1950's diner. The walls are covered with collectables that remind one of ones childhood regardless of ones age.

We came here for dinner when we were visiting Bar Harbor. The atmosphere is excellent. It is 50's style and is like eating in an antique shop! The food and services was excellent! It was a little pricey but average pricing for Bar Harbor area. We will eat here again when in the area.

Decor is very cool. Food was good as well. I'd go again and would recommend. Kind of set back from the road and a bit tricky to find but its worth looking for.
