Route 66 catches your eye with lots of fun stuff to look at from gas pumps to pedal cars. Overall, the atmosphere was fun but image how they keep that stuff clean? They don't. Food was a bit pricy and mediocre. Service was good. I'd skip this restaurant and look for something more local with better food and better prices.

Food was delicious, atmosphere was unreal. Alyssa, our server was very friendly and helpful. Good seafood selection and the pizzas and sandwiches were awesome ! Overall the best value we found in Bar Harbor. Sixties style diner with lots of memorabilia.

To begin with, the decor in the restaurant is quite entertaining and puts a smile on your face. You can walk around and take pictures and also go upstairs while you're waiting for your food. We barely felt any wait time since we were so interested in the decor. The service was great and all of the employees made us... More

Ok first you are attracted by the outside with the Route 66 sign and think hey look at all nice Toys, signs etc from that era. Ahhh but no you sit in your booth while the waitress ignores you while They are argue about something with their fellow workers. So now you get the menus and Order a Shore Dinner special... More

The Route 66 restaurant is a fun and wonderful place to eat. The food is outstanding, seafood always fresh, and the best lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese, seafood going. And the Burgers are good to! We always stop here for a meal.

There are better places to eat in Bar Harbor. But if you have kids and want a decent family meal then Route 66 deserves a look.

Skip this! The place looks cool from the outside but that's about where the positive ends. I should have left when the two servers at the door ignored me until I asked if we could be seated. Nothing about this visit was positive. So many places to eat - look for something better than this.

One of a few places that take the time to mark their menu with gluten free choices. The waitress was most helpful and friendly. We went there for lunch and enjoyed the many collectables on the walls!

The entrance to this place is a cool alley with all kind of cool props. The inside is then an explosion of memorabilia that you spend the entire meal looking at and pointing out stuff to other people at your table - they even have a train that runs around the restaurant on an elevated track. Overall the service and... More
