It's a cheesy 50's style diner, but it is a fun atmosphere and a great location. The kids menu had lots of options and the kids enjoyed them. They also gave out crayons for the youngsters to play with. Service was good. The wine and beer options were terrible. Not a good location for groups of more than 6 since... More

On our first visit to BH & was looking for lunch. Decided to give this a try. Excellent choice. Was not too busy & food excellent. Great onion soup too! The old items decorating the place was really cool to view. Cannot speak about evening service but recommend this for lunch.

Servers were great! Lobster was great, although I don't have much experience with good or bad lobster. The server walked me thru how to eat a lobster. Fries were poor, coleslaw was no better. Not a big fan of the ambiance .... my ears were starting to bleed from the music. Probably wouldn't go back or recommend. Guessing you could... More

I really love the place because of its vintage ambiance and their collection of stuff from outside til the 2nd floor of the restaurant. They also have good choices of your favorite Bar Harbor Foods.Good Service as well.

I have to admit, the quirky side of me was drawn to the outside of the building where there's a taxi cab sticking out of the building. The inside wasn't as appealing to me although there was a lot to look at and I enjoyed the music. The service was great however the food was average. The salad was okay,... More

It was out last night of a great week in Bar Harbor. we both wanted seafood but didn't want to spend $25+. I have lots of food allergies and loved that they had GF next to several items. Our server, Crystal, was sweet and welcoming. I asked if it was possible to make the gluten free seafood pizza with garlic... More

Route 66 was our favorite meal in Bar Harbor, we ate here twice! The waitstaff were very friendly and knowledgeable - always smiling and helpful. The food was great - we thought their clam chowder was the best of all the restaurants we ate at. We loved the old fashioned milk shakes, and the blueberry sangria was delicious! The decor... More

A wonderful step back in time. You have to stop by and get a Moxie or a beer. Food was just average.
