Given all the great reviews, we expected a memorable dining experience. Instead, we got an okay meal, but nothing special. My husband ordered a Vietnamese salad made with shrimp noodles - shrimp pureed and made into noodles. The salad was fresh, but the parts of the salad didn't seem to mesh and overall the salad was bland. My halibut was... More

Great food. Awesome presentation. Attentive service! Wine list has tasting notes for most of their wines - really helpful in choosing a bottle. Cute outdoor seating option - recommend that you show up early or make reservations.

My wife loved Fathom and I thought it was average. I had the salmon and an overly sweet slice of blueberry pie. I expected more for the price.

This steak was succulent and tasty....my mouth is watering just thinking of it! The crispy Kale was also done to perfection and I got a lot of it! I wasn't eating the whipped potatoes so they substituted for extra crispy Kale! Great service and great food!

We read about Fathom our first night in Bar Harbor, and went without a reservation. We were greeted at the door by Tracy, who we later learned was the owner. She found us a lovely table and we went on to have one of the 10 best dinners of my life. The food was fresh, the service was outstanding, the... More

This is exactly the type of restaurant I was looking for. Fresh food that is combined creatively with interesting flavors and a lovely presentation. 5 stars. Time has been taken to produce a specialty drink menu that is impressive. I had the ginger rhubarb cosmo and it was fantastic. Very nice wine menu. Professional staff. I only took off a... More

Just go - words don't do it justice. Make reservations in advance. And make sure to try the strawberry/rhubarb salad.

Fathom is a bit off the beaten path, i.e. not in the middle of the Bar Harbor tourist zone. The food was terrific and the service and atmosphere even better. It is worth reserving ahead for this special place. Lobster carbonara was delicious. Fourth of July margarita (watermelon, blueberry and black pepper) - awesome!

Service was great, nice atmosphere and great food. Filet was excellent, son had lobster carbonara with pasta and wife had yellow tuna. Highly recommend and off beaten path.
