Great Food

A local place with a local feel. Service was great no good was over the top. When you need a break from the lobster go here. MALIA WAS THE BEST.

This is a place I would have liked to have gone back to. For someone who doesn't eat meat, and likes something more than a baked potato and veggies, this place has great possibility with many items I would like to try. What I had was very good; a veggie sandwich with fresh cheese, avocado, sprouts (the works). Tasty. My... More

The service and ambiance were fine but we found the quality of the food for the price was poor. We each ordered a fish sandwich with a side of Caesar salad for one of us and a cup of chowder for the other person. The fish was an extremely skimpy portion and with the exception of the chowder which was... More

This establishment has it all for my wife and I. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, our server was extremely knowledgable and personable, the food was amazingly good and the price was surprisingly reasonable. True gourmet fare and an intimate setting for just the right price. The grilled avocado appetizer was to die for, and the Mac 'n Cheese was... More

The restaurant came highly recommended but I cannot fathom why! The service was slow and the waitress messed up our orders multiple times and the food was the blandest I have ever had. Maybe they had a different chef in the kitchen than usual? Green wait staff? No clue what went wrong but I won't be wasting my money on... More

Not a lot of choices for dinner on a Sunday night in early April but we were happy to end up here. I started with the ruby red grapefruit margarita which I enjoyed. We ordered very simple dishes - veggie mac n cheese for me and hubby had grilled haddock sandwich. He said it was fresh and tasty with a... More

I've been to Side Street so many times in the past year and it never disappoints! I try to order something different each time and all of it has been great. I particularly love their margaritas, to go with pretty much everything!

Side Street Cafe is my local go to restaurant. This place has done a great job providing delicious food you want to eat anytime at a consistent level. An important for me as I am a celiac eater :/ are the many Gluten Free options I can find there. I have never had bad food there or been "glutened". I... More

We went to this restaurant not expecting very much. We were in Bar Harbor during the off-season. This was one of the only restaurants in town that was open. What we had was delicious! At this restaurant they have a make your own mac & cheese section on their menu. I highly recommend you take advantage of this. We added... More

Great, 4-star experience...very friendly staff, good service, and solid food. Perfect for families. We stopped in for some quick food and drinks (3 adults and 3 kids). Each of us walked away satisfied! In particular, the clam chowder, the burgers and the mac and cheese were excellent. The blueberry margaritas were very good and unusual...worth a try. Overall an inexpensive,... More
