I sampled the lobster roll in every restaurant we went to and this one was easily the best! The roll was stuffed full of lobster and had a very good light seasoning on it. This will be the first place I go when I get back to Bar Harbor.

We were up in Bar Harbor Maine to see the foliage during October and we stopped by the Side Street Café. This is evidently quite a popular place and we had a wait of about 10 minutes and then seated. Our order was taken quickly and the food arrived after about 15 minutes. The menu choices were decent, but sort... More

Loved the gluten-free lobster mac and cheese!! Nice little spot to take the family or hang out at the bar or to get a hot lunch on a cold fall day.

And thankfully one of a few choices open year round in this tourist town. Decent value but not every dish is perfect. They clearly are making an effort which comes through with the eager-to-please service and especially as per prior posts with the impressive and extensive gluten free options. The thing though is the lawbstah stew, lots of meat and... More

Fish of the moment (catch of the day) tonight was Grilled Salmon. Side dishes: Grilled vegetable and Caesar Salad. Food was slight better than average. Lively atmosphere. Both young and old people seem to enjoy dining here, with the strength of local community support and services. Opened 5 years ago in 2009. Well maintained. What impressed me the most at... More

We went here because it was supposed to have very good lobster rolls and they did not disappoint. A fun bar/café, lively atmosphere and good service. We would came here again the next time we are in Bar Harbor.

We were in town as a stop on a New England/Canada cruise and chose this great spot after reading umpteen reviews of Bar Harbor restaurants. Being in town for only a few hours, rather than days, our choice had to be spot on, and it was! Having grown up near Boston but now living in Florida, I was looking forward... More

Asked at the Atlantic Eyrie Lodge of a good place for a good and reasonably priced restaurant for lunch and this was one of the suggestions. The cafe is located on a side street in down town Bar Harbor. The service was great and the food was excellent. As suggested by the Lodge we took the Island explore bus and... More
