They went to great efforts to please

Great view behind full wall windows or outdoor deck seating. Service was very helpful and eager to please. The manager and cook even helped us get a special order of spaghetti for our daughter that wasn't on the menu. That was much appreciated and helped us feed a 5yo that was a bit picky that... read more

Great views on the deck while enjoying drinks and conversation. Propane heaters keep you warm for those cooler days or nights. Enjoy the views while eating on the deck or just drinks while waiting for your table inside. Once inside the views are even better. Tables are positioned just right to get the best views of the water. The food... More

The Looking Glass Restaurant is a must on your Bar Harbor trip. I cannot say enough about the manager, Anthony Wyman, who was helpful, always had a smile on his face, gracious, and worked alongside his staff. A beautiful place with a great view! The staff was wonderful. Food superb!

If you are looking for an amazing mountain view, elegance yet coziness, posh yet casual, refined but not too exotic, this restaurant is for you. Both the dining room and patio have panoramic views, and are laid out to provide intimate yet comfortable seating. Dinner and breakfast both feature a streamline with some creative flourishes such as pistachio falafel. Every... More

The service is somewhere between indifferent and rude. They weren't busy, but they had to be prompted to bring us enough place settings, to refill water glasses, to bring us maple syrup for pancakes etc. The view is great, and the food is okay to fine, but the staff needs a complete attitude adjustment

We enjoyed dinner at the Looking Glass during our anniversary weekend. The restaurant has many large windows with a great view of the harbor. The food and wine was great. I had the surf and turf. My husband had the filet. The portions were good size and the meal was enjoyable. The staff was overall friendly and helpful.

We ordered some sandwiches to take away from this restaurant via The Bluenose Inn and they were so disgusting that it totally demotivated us from trying the restaurant for dinner. When we went to pick them up during breakfast time, the breakfasts we saw did not look very inspiring, the atmosphere in the restaurant was nothing special (despite the stunning... More

My wife and I stayed in the Bluenose Inn for 2 nights and we ate in this restaurant on both nights. We had the seafood chowder to start and the lobster as the main course, on both nights. The food was so good that once was just not enough. The scenic views of the harbour added to the experience.
