This place has a great view but thats about all. Waitstaff was very friendly but not to up on menu. They had to keep looking & stumbled over the specials of the day. I started with the lobster bisque & tasted like it was out of the microwave with large pieces of lobster that I could have used a steak... More

We ate breakfast and dinner there several times. The food was always delicious and presented in a lovely way. With the octagonal design, you get amazing views of the ocean and surrounding area. We also enjoyed Happy Hour on the deck around an open fire, listening to live entertainment.

We enjoyed the view and food so much we came back again. Seafood was excellent and the filet exceptionally tender. Service was ok. The view is almost as nice as atop Cadillac Mountain.

Gorgeous views of Frenchman's Bay and Bar Harbor. Great staff. Fancy food. Expensive. Good place to go for a special occasion. Breakfast and dinner only.

The reviews of this restaurant looked good so we gave it a try. We found the food dull and expensive. The service was slow.

Once we found it and got a window table we were rocked by the ambiance. Oysters Rockerfellar ($16 for 5) were outstanding, the best I have had. The mixed grill was good, not great. The center of the grill - lobster tail was a tad over-done and that is too bad. But when you pay those prices, you do expect... More

Tis a bit pricey, but: Quality is what you get. The view is "out of sight" wonderful. The first evening the weather was clear and eventually the moonlight was the highlight of the view!! The food was spectacular. Even the dinner salad with the grilled chicken was so very flavorful. With a house made dressing. The wait staff exceptional. It... More

Enjoyed my lobster omelet. Service was slow. View was beautiful but I was disappointed that I couldn't walk around the outside deck.

Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant the Looking Glass. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your lobster omelet and the view while you were there. I am not sure I understand why you were not able to use our deck, as it provides quite a bit of seating and has a firepit that... More

A last minute phone call netted us a window table for an early dinner. The view was spectacular. Watching the changing colors on the water as the sun set and the tide coming in to cover the bar provided plenty to observe. Our waitress was attentive, in spite of the rapidly filling room, and our food was plentiful, beautifully presented... More
