The food was OK. Eggs were runny, bacon not crisp, potatoes flavorless, coffee weak, omelette lacking enough cheese. Nice staff and great view.

they have the best blueberry muffins I have ever had. I live in New York and took 4 muffins home with me. They were still good when I got Home and they are fresh.

Lots of bakery and snacks. Huge brownie for a good price. It was not too clear what they had for sandwiches

Went to Grumpy's right after Cadillac Mountain sunrise, around 6:30 a.m. or so. The Blueberry muffins were coming out of the oven when we walked in the door. Slightly crusted top with delicious Maine blueberries inside. OMG were they good!!! Coffee and mocha were also excellent.

Small joint to grab a bite. More of a hole in the wall but great prices on lobster rolls and soda/water was only a buck. Not a lot of seating.

This is a very crowded place but our server was on the ball. The food was good and we enjoyed it. I don't think it is a stand-out place in regard to the food though, just good enough. There are plenty of places to eat in Bar Harbor so we figured we try as many as possible while there.

Stopped in for a quick bite before departing on the 1pm Whale Watch cruise. Had a quick drink and a piece of excellent Blueberry Pie. Nothing super fancy. Was convenient because it was right next to where the Wale Watch boat loads.

My husband and I had breakfast at Grumpy's this morning, partly because we are staying close by and partly because the reviews intrigued us. There was nothing "grumpy" about the place. Our waitress was very friendly and outgoing. The food was very good and served in a screened in porch connected to the dining room. There are about five picnic... More

Grumpy's Whale Watch Cafe is a neat little hole in the wall on the docks in Bar Harbor! We were sent there by a cool dock person , Sam, who said he'd heard the lobster rolls were a great deal. They were! Mr. Grumpy lives up to his name til he warms up to you, but those lobster rolls are... More

Mr. Grumpy's was one of the best meals we had while visiting Acadia. The blueberry pancakes were huge, fluffy, and filled with fresh Maine blueberries. Eggs, bacon, coffee...all so good. They give big servings and offer a great view. Only a few tables...it was almost full when we got there. I especially liked that Mr. grumpy actually works there...and must... More
