We ate lunch here after the July 4 th parade.. Very casual family run place. Great hot dog( famous red Maine dog) and awesome sweet potato fries. My husband said his burger was great as well with delicious crispy onion rings. Service was good and very friendly! Quick and inexpensive...try it for lunch!

Great spot for a hometown breakfast. Staff were open with suggestions, answered our questions, and provided some great advice for the next leg of our vacation. Coupled with a convenience store, with a seperated laundromat, it was a great spot for us to do some laundry and grab a solid breakfast.

I love a good diner. The staff is friendly and quick to offer advice for travelling in and around the area. The coffee cups stay full, the food is great and very reasonable (breakfast sandwiches for under $5), and you aren't elbow to elbow with other tourists. There's even a little shop attached with ice, coffee to go, snacks, etc.... More

This was my third visit to this tourist eatery here in Bar Harbor. This is one of the few "year-round" cafe's on the island so to survive it employs local employees and must cater to the locals or suffer the consequences. This is your local breakfast and lunch menu and I was in the mood for a hot dog. I... More

Stopped for lunch here today and don't think I will return. I read alot of the reviews and can't say I agree with them or that this eatery is worth the money. Yeah I know everything is expensive these days, but $24.00 with tip is a bit much for the food and service we got for lunch. I had the... More

After a sunrise hike on Cadillac, my husband and son stopped here. The food was good, pancakes were more than good, and the cook was fun to chat with (they were the only two in there on New Year's morning). Prices were more than reasonable.

I ordered one pancake because the waitress said it was extremely large. It was the size of about three regular pancakes but had little taste. My husband ordered an English muffin and side of sausage links. When I tasted a bite of his sausage, it was cold! My husband did not want to fuss but I asked the girl to... More

I have never thought to write a review on here for anything. I have worked in the food industry before, and know that opinions can be taken seriously and potentially hurt a buisness that simply made a mistake. However, my past and most current experience with Main Street Market has left me appaulled. Often I have recieved rude service and... More

Nothing fancy here--just good food, good coffee and a heaping serving of Maine hospitality. We ate breakfast here on 3 of our four mornings in Bar Harbor. Waitress was attentive (even though she was running up and down the stairs waiting on her customers). It's also open for lunch be we were never in town at that time. Recommended most... More
