This ice cream shop offered a variety of odd flavors and was touted as being one of the best ice creams ever. I found that it was satisfactory but nothing to go crazy about.

President Obama and his family had ice cream at the Main St. location. No matter what your politics, this was the ice cream they chose to eat on their visit, and it's the only place I eat ice cream in Bar Harbor. The flavors vary during the season, depending on the inventiveness of their ice cream maker and what's in... More

Just like the sign says. We visited Bar Harbor for 5 days and had ice cream 4 days in a row from Mt. Dessert Island Ice Cream. There are two locations, one on Main street, about 5-6 blocks from the town pier. The other location is on Firefly Lane, across from the Village Green park, which is the location we... More

I was in Bar Habor three nights and came here for ice cream twice, so it is doing something right. The flavors are fun - sometimes a little too over the top. And the quality of the ice cream just right. Creamy without being cloying. And the portions are ample... "one scoop" is big enough that you can have two... More

This place has delicious flavors and everyone should be able to find something they like. Love the ginger ice cream, blueberry, and the white chocolate raspberry, but other flavors were probably great too, we just couldn't try them all. The ice cream is preservative free, and some probably are not as "hard" as you are used to and may work... More

Salted caramel and lemon raspberry were two of my favorites, but everything I sampled was wonderful. Bay of Figs oh my!

A sign on the wall says they use organic milk and is homemade. One scoop in a cup looked pretty small so paid the extra 75 cents for 2 scoops. Lots of real coconut in the ice cream and very creamy! They have many unique flavors.

Best Ice Cream of the entire 10 day vacation, and I love ice cream. They are on the pricey side, but who else offers a flight of ice cream flavors? Everything I tasted was fantastic, if you are in the area, avoid the other places on Main St. and come here, you will be glad you did.

Okay, we go to Bar Harbor every year. I don't know why we never got around to trying this ice cream until this past summer. Probably because there are a lot of ice cream places to try in Bar Harbor. All I have to say, is YUM! Don't miss this place. There are 2 locations and we tried both. The... More
