Excellent food, great service, good beer

The specials vary, as well as the house made beer. They have live entertainment regularly. I have never been disappointed with my meal at mermaid tavern!

I love the pub feel. Plenty of room, with the options to catch some live evening folk style entertainment. I have not tried the stuffed portabellas but I hear they're great. I recommend the Gyro lunch/dinner plate. Do not get the bratwurst. They brew their own brews every Sunday, the only place I know of on island. Friendly staff, fair... More

Dinner here is always good and the drinks are really good. It can be pricey but if you are looking for a late night drink, this can be a spot, since everything on the southern half of Guam seem to close at 8pm.

Stopped in the Mermaid during a port visit, the craft brews there were excellent especially the IPA. The food pairings were also extremely delicious especially the gourmet burgers.

Without a doubt one of the best places to eat on the island. This place has live music and is very accomodating for large groups. The beer selection is also great. I would suggest the lamb chops!

I try to stop into a local craft beer or gastropub whenever I am on vacation since I got into craft beer. They make there own beer and offer a sampler set which I tried. Pretty good beers. Chicken wings are good. Staff is friendly. It is not near any of the major tourist sights so it does take some... More

I go to the Mermaid at least 3 times a month. They brew their own beer, maybe 5 or 6 different types. The menu is pretty good. Mix of normal bar food and a few other things. Bottom line, mermaid is amazing.

Nice place for lunch. The service and food is slow. The hummus is good. Would really rate it as a five, but again the service is very slow.

Wanted to try some craft beer and found the place to be is The Mermaid while on Guam. What I found was great locally brewed beer (the Red ale) and some wonderful food. My colleagues also had some good eats. The only relative negative is the dark environment but we'll be heading back again before leaving where America starts it's... More

This restaurant is mediocre at best. Its not a lunch or dinner type of restaurant it's a 2 o'clock in the morning, after the club type of restaurant, or maybe just a bar to sit around and throw back a few with friends. The food is cafeteria quality...probably better with a buzz.
