Food and beers are good, service not so much

First of all, went here three different times and the food is good, while the beers are pretty good and brewed there at the business. The service however is really spotty. One time the service was good, but the other two times it was horribly slow.

If you love strong beer, this is the place for you but make sure you have a driver. The IPA and other beers are great but the food is just so so. Atmosphere is good and service needs help but worth the visit for beer lovers.

So we went here with a group of friends and their kids at 5:30 on a Saturday night. It started off well. The staff was attentive and interactive. But then service went down hill quickly. The restaurant got more crowded and we had to continuously gain the waitress' attention to get ketchup, order drinks, get other food that we had... More

So we heard about this place and its brews, good brews! the beers are pretty good, they have a nice variety as well. I recommend that you try the IPA, very hoppy and tasty. Now what went wrong? Why a 3out of 5. Well, service is very important to me. The server was obviously lost, did not care to check... More

I enjoyed the stout beer. it was good smell, nice color, and little bitter tast was confortable for me. And my son enjoyed the mermaid humberger dinner with wasabi-tast source.

Mermaid's offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes in generous portions, coupled well with freshly brewed beer. I especially love their HUGE salads. It is definitely one of my go-to places for a relaxing, healthy dinner. Bonus: they have a regular schedule of talented, local musicians.

The specials vary, as well as the house made beer. They have live entertainment regularly. I have never been disappointed with my meal at mermaid tavern!

I love the pub feel. Plenty of room, with the options to catch some live evening folk style entertainment. I have not tried the stuffed portabellas but I hear they're great. I recommend the Gyro lunch/dinner plate. Do not get the bratwurst. They brew their own brews every Sunday, the only place I know of on island. Friendly staff, fair... More

Dinner here is always good and the drinks are really good. It can be pricey but if you are looking for a late night drink, this can be a spot, since everything on the southern half of Guam seem to close at 8pm.

Stopped in the Mermaid during a port visit, the craft brews there were excellent especially the IPA. The food pairings were also extremely delicious especially the gourmet burgers.
