Pork/potato quesadilla: the BOMB!

My sis and I stopped in here because of the positive reviews. There's a free parking lot outside. We went during mid-afternoon, and it was counter service time. There is plenty of seating inside. We ordered (my sis got pork and cabbage plate, and I got the sweet potato/kalua pork quesadilla). The... read more

Was very hungry after a long hike in the heat. Thanks to Trip Advisor we found this gem. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. Ordered the Teri Beef plate and an A La Carte Chicken Ling Rice side. It really the spot. The flavor was great, tender and excellent. The Chicken Long Rice was much better... More

Highway Inn has become a "must stop and eat " location every time we come visit Oahu. We love the little restaurants especially ones with some much story behind them. You walk in and immediately are greeted by someone, never waited more than 2 minutes to sit down for breakfast! The menu offers so many options it's definitely hard to... More

I've eaten here on numerous occasions and I can say that I am not a fan of Highway Inn. If I am not a fan of this place, why did I keep coming back you say? Because other people would want to come here and I just came along. IMHO you don't get your money's worth here. The portions here... More

Thank you for coming in and your patronage and we're sorry you left disappointed. We often find it is so much better all around, for you and for us, if you could address your concerns in person to our staff, and we can avoid possibly inaccurate information being published on Social Media sites. In your specific example, it sounds like... More

I saw the reviews for this place online and decided to give it a try. As mentioned by others, it offers good, traditional Hawaiian fare. I got a combo with kalua pork/cabbage, rice, and a mac/potato salad mix. Everything was tasty, but none of these items were spectacular. However, the real winner was the kalua pig/okinawan sweet potato quesadilla; that... More

Highway Inn doesn't disappoint. Tried the onion and salt. Simple, yet good. The Kailua sliders were really good on sweet bread. Try a mixed plate with Lau Lau ..always real good, and you get haupia dessert!

An adventure in authentic Hawaiian food. A wide menu and very helpful staff. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. It's also (we didn't know this when we stopped in) a Triple D featured restaurant.

Simple Hawaiian fair at it's best! Best Haupia I have had all over the islands. Great service and you always know you are doing something right when it is filled with locals. Loved our experience here!!

Based on reviews, we stopped by for lunch when shopping at the outlet mall. Had the fried shrimp platter, loco moco, and pork/sweet potato quesadilla. All of it was outstanding. The quesadilla was completely unique to us and out of this world. What a great find! Highly recommend!!

I have been reluctant to write about this place, since it is already busy, but there is good reason for its popularity. It has also received other acknowledgements for its food (Hawaiian but also very local dishes) so the word is out. It is a family run place with a very neighborhood feeling. This is not a tourist spot and... More
