We just moved to this area and I am sooooo glad they have this restaurant close by. Helena's (Hawaiian food) is rated one of the best, but I think Highland beats them. But, the bottom line is what you like and how you like it. We had a combo plate and ordered a side of squid luau and extra haupia.... More

Went to the Highway Inn Restaurant for dinner. They easily made room for the 8 of us. The food was delicious, the pork was just right and the steak was tender and juicy. The menu has two sides one for Hawaiian food and the other side is your American side. We ordered from the Hawaiian side and food was excellent.... More

Excellent place where food is served in plastic boxes over the counter... or at your place with a smile. Quality us as high as can be with local low prices. Went there several times in 1 week. Just 15 minutes drive from JW Marriott where we were staying.

We wanted some authentic Hawaiian fare. This is the place. Loco Moco and pork were fantastic. Macaroni potato salad was yummy. It's a basic little place, very clean, with a deli counter; order at the front and take a seat. We were on our way home the next morning or would have bought some poke to go -- it looked... More

Never have I ever eaten at Highway Inn until I suggested to bring my dad here for a birthday lunch which didn't happen! Mom came along instead. Location isn't in Waipahu Shopping Center, but on the outside perimeter, across from McDonald's. We got there before opening time and found a parking stall at the front f the shop. We were... More

Food was great - like a luau at a local price. Choices galore - and if you don't have time to sit and eat they have the deli that will pack your food to go!

A little bit of a drive from Honolulu is Waipahu. We were going there to visit the Hawaiian Plantation Village and thought we'd check out this little restaurant that was featured on triple "D". When visiting Hawaii you should try the local food at least once. This is luau food. My sister was with us and told us the place... More

They have a wide variety off local HAwaiian food that is oh so ono and delicious. It's a small casual dine in restaurant with a very friendly staff!! There may be a wait as... More

Had the Beef Stew at Highway Inn. Food was awesome. If could have gotten the recipe I would have. It comes with rice and we had a side salad that was very good too. Small restaurant, very good food and service.

If you are in Oahu, you MUST visit The Highway Inn. Authentic Hawaiian food at it's very best! The food is delicious and adventurous and the price point is reasonable. Staff is friendly and the people are what makes this restaurant so great! We had a party of 8 so we waited about ten minutes to be seated - they... More
