This is one of my family's favorite places to eat because of the choices and environment. My wife and son love the steak and I love the nabeyaki soba. They even offer the plum wine here, which is delicious! The staff are friendly, but the place is a little popular, so at times there us a wait. Anyone who likes... More

Ate here with the family after a busy day shopping and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of sashimi and sushi offered. Staff was friendly and we were lucky to beat the lineup.

I went here for dinner with a friend this past Friday evening. (First of all, parking is tight; your best chance during busy times is to park in the Lowe's lot and walk over.) We waited for about 30 mins. for a table (During busy hours, don't go super hungry; this place is popular!). My friend ordered the Rainbow Roll... More

This friendly restaurant is normally busy daily as evident by the good food and great service. My preference is to get at least 4 people so I can order the Funamori Boat! It's a mix of sashimi and shellfish that is worth the $100 some dollars. Otherwise, their combination plate will satisfy the discrete Japanese diners that frequent here, like... More

We had the big boats full of food. The presentation is exceptional as it makes its way to your table. That being said the prep was just ok. Lobster was a little chewy and tempura a tad oily for my tastes. If u love sashimi this is the place for you as they really pile it on. Give it a... More

Our family at one time were regulars here - we came every week - but the food is just not as good anymore. The steak tends to be overdone and dry, the sushi rolls have gone way up in price but seems to have shrunk in size. They do make a grat shrimp tempura but the other things that we... More

I used to like this restaurant because I like japanese food and the location is great for me and it's a step above the "genki sushi" type restaurants. Sometimes you like a restaurant and once in a great while they may get something wrong like this time my sizzling ribeye was overdone. I normally would not hold it against the... More

I had some business clients in town and had taken them to the outlet mall over at Waikele. Located on the west side of Oahu, with easy exit off the H-1. After the wives spent all of our money at the Coach outlet my guest were hungry. I remember hearing about Kunio. So we headed over by walking just few... More

Several staff at our resort recommended this local "mom and pop" sushi restaurant. There was a wait for our group of 8, but not too long. Food was great - wonderfully fresh sushi. Local butterfish specialty was great too, though I preferred the Miso version to the other. Prices were high, but not unexpected. Hawaii often has prices like Manhattan.
