They don't keep well, not even if microwaved. My husband liked the cinnamon/sugar one and I was all for the coconut filled one.

Was a rainy day when we stopped with 2 ahead of me in line, they were making them fresh and line quickly grew to almost a dozen deep. Melt in your mouth fresh!! Definitely on my list of places to keep coming back too! Will try the original location next time!

After many years(10)of eating Leonard malasadas I can definitely say that the malasadas at the main store are so much better than this wagon. It seems that the oil used in the wagon needs to be replaced more often.

Tried this and the main store a day apart, no difference in taste and quality. Located in a rather quiet corner of the carpark.

Sadly, the Leonard's food truck at the mall is not equal to the real Leonard's experience in Honolulu. The malasadas weren't really fresh, and they lacked flavor. We did buy custard and pumpkin pies that were made in the Mother Leonard's, as we call it. The pies were excellent. Sorry the malasadas weren't.

We just sat down and started eating half of a dozen. The rest we saved for another day. Well, it is not often that we allow ourselves to splurge on malasadas (donuts), except at the Punahou Carnival which is much closer to our home. A "must" in Waikele.

I admit I'm not a malasadas expert but I do enjoy regular donuts and these malasadas were awesome! We tried 2 of each flavor: 2 originals, 2 cinnamons, 2 Li hings, 2 custards, 2 dobash and 2 haupia. The consensus were that the nonfilled malasadas were better. My mouth is watering just thinking of the malasadas! The malasadas were hot... More

You cannot come to Hawaii and not try the malasadas. They are great and unique. Leonards has a nice little truck in the Waikele Shopping Center that makes them to order. It is great, reasonable and always fresh. Enjoy!

Nothing like Leonard's fresh, hot malasadas. Stopped to pick up a dozen for an open mic night. Slight line on a Sunday night (6pm), but the 10 minute wait was worth it. They happened to be out of the custard offering :( had to settle for a mix of haupia, chocolate and original. No seating area.

This truck is an outpost of the main downtown Honolulu Leonards. The most amazing pastries ever, Portuguese-Hawaiian style. Try the coconut cream, the regular sugared, and the regular cream-filled. They come hot from the cooker by the box, are the size and shape of giant doughnut holes, and they melt in your mouth.
