Breakfast for the family

Very large potions of pancakes, eggs with toast and rice with bacon or sausage. The food was tasteful, it seemed a bit pricey considering the accommodations are fair, lime a dive. The staff was very kind and showed my boys the sheep and goats they had on the grounds.

The staff was very nice and helpful with ordering. The food was just okay. I asked which dish was most popular and it is the Pig Plate. The portion size was enough for two people. The meat was bland and not well seasoned. The hamburgers were well received by my children.

This place has the best BBQ. That would be called " Kaluha Pig". Very similar to BBQ back in the States, pulled pork. But with a Hawaiian flavor. Most of the BBQ places here don't even compare to this wonderful place. A true "hole in the wall" place very plain road side stop. But you have to eat here if... More

Keneke's might not be the Ritz, but their Shave Ice is without equal...I kid you not! We love their pork and rice bowls, too. A great menu and the food is "dekine good brudda!" Really!

As I read up on things to do and where to eat while on my 11 day trip to Hawaii I read about this place. It came highly recommended and I understand why. Do not let the appearance slow you down. The food is awesome and man what a plate full, easily shared with someone with plenty to eat for... More

My husband and I came here and ordered the mix plate. We shared the shoyu chicken, mahi mahi, and the pork adobo. We brought it back to the Makapu'u Beach and had a little picnic. The food was good! My favorite is the pork adobo. It was a perfect lunch with my hubby! Yummy food and the beautiful Hawaiian Scenery!

Classic Hawaiian plate lunches are 1) HUGE 2) include a killer protein ( I suggest the Kaluha Pig) 3) include white rice and 4) have great macaroni salad. This place is a DIVE, it's way off the beaten track, the dining room is open air with a roof, it's creepy dirty with bible verse graffiti all over the walls and... More

I know there are many other places to get shave ice but this place doesn't it right! Great flavors, super thin shavings of ice and huge portions. We get a scoop of ice cream in the bottom and it makes for the best shave ice in the world. You sort of end with a "creamsicle" treat. This place is a... More

We did an all day private tour of Oahu and asked to be taken to a local place. Keneke's was the place. For a little over $5 we got an awesome Kalua pig sandwich and a drink. It was our first experience here and it was phenomenal! The food was delicious and filling! We can't wait to come back to... More

A local friend highly recommended Keneke's for plate lunch, but I couldn't quite bring myself to eat solid food here given the rundown appearance. However, the shave ice looked too good to pass up, and we were not disappointed. The fresh ice (we had to wait a few minutes for them to make a new batch) was soft and fluffy--a... More
