The Hukilau burger is to die for. This quaint, non touristy eat out is sublime, and easy on the pocket (less than $15 will feed 2 people)

Siri recommended this as a highly-rated local dining option, and we tried it for breakfast. Portions were generous, and the food was delicious, served by friendly staff. We felt as though we were the only tourists in the place, all the other patrons appeared to be local, which gave an authentic feel to the place. Had the Hungry Hawaiian breakfast,...

Unlike the rest of Hawaii, this restaurant is priced normally and boasts a nice menu with quite a bit to choose from. I am a big Man vs. Food fan so I wanted to hit this place up while on vacation in Hawaii and I got the 'loco moco' and was not disappointed. Just judging the food itself, it was...

I love restaurants like this: unpretentious, reasonably-priced, decent tasting food, with friendly service and large portions. No gourmet dishes here, but then, going to Hawaii for the food is like going to the Eiffel Tower for the latte.
Maybe I'm just a picky eater but I thought the food at this place was awful! My husband had a burger and I had the chicken, the only edible things on our plate were the bun off the burger and the rice from my plate.
Cute little place. One you'll come back for. Awesome pancakes & loads of food for the money. You've got to check this little place out. It's walking distance to the famous Hukilau beach.
Good food for breakfast, we ate there a couple times. I got the loco moco, and the french toast. The loco moco they offer with mahi mahi, ham or the standard hamburger patty. Service was ok, but it was nothing to write home about. Overall a good experience, and will visit again on next trip to North Shore.
Yummy food and plenty of it. Pancake special was 2 very large pancakes, perfect egg, two slices of crisp bacon for $8. Veggy omelet was filled with crisp vegetables. Mixture of locals and tourists made for interesting people watching. Might be a little wait to be seated but its worth it.
We go to the Hukilau Cafe every time we go to Oahu. The macadamia nut pancakes are my favorite, and my husband and daughter love the Loco Moco. It's a little hard to find, and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The food is great, but if you don't like yours served on styrofoam plates, this place isn't for you.
Our party was excited to try this place because we had heard so much about it. Got there and there was a line out the door, which made us more excited. The service is nothing to special and I got the loco moco and didn't like it at all. Hamburger patties for breakfast with a thick gravy...no thanks!! I was...
