Very busy on the weekend!

We tried to eat breakfast here on a Saturday morning while visiting Ko Olina. It was at least an hour wait. We went back during the week and didn't have to wait at all. They have a very large menu with a variety of food. I ordered a sandwich and my husband ordered a breakfast skillet. They were... read more

Zippy's has good local food. I like their Oxtail Soup and Turkey neck soup when they have it. Their Portuguese bean soup is also very good. I like the Zip Pacs and they have a good bakery. Their Apple Napples are very good as well as the custard Long Johns.

This place seemed like a cafetria with all kinds of selections. One thing for sure it was very busy. The menu didn't excite me - but it must have excited others because there were lots of people there. We were hungry, tired and not too picky. I noticed that the menu had a section for Diabetics.. The soup was served... More

This Zippy's is HUGE! i didn't even know there's a dine-in area. This location is really close to ko'olina (about 15 min away). Came here for dinner and got loco moco, korean fried chicken, and a chicken and chili plate (all mini), and three spam musubis. I really enjoyed the korean fried chicken. The amount of saltiness and sweetness was... More

I've eaten at this Zippy's 3 times for the chili and after the last time I will not return. We had been to the restaurant the night before and had the same server, I guess a $8 tip on a $32 bill gave her the need to ignore us for 10 mins, once we ordered it took another 40 min's... More

If you want the fast food the locals eat, go to Zippys. You have to try it at least once on your trip to Oahu. They are everywhere. Instead of cheeseburger and fries, thing rice and Spam. Good food!

Zippy's was recommended by several resort employees as a place where locals go and affordable. It was described as the Hawaiian Denny's but I found it to be much better than any Denny's I've been to. They have a sit down be served area and a counter service area with a small sitting area if you choose eat there. They... More

We were staying in Ko Olina and as some of the over reviews pointed out, were looking for a casual place that wasn't very expensive and had lots of options. The kids wanted beakfast for dinner and this place worked out perfectly. They have your standard breakfast fare (Omlettes, pancakesm french toast, bacon etc) but they also offer up local... More

If you are staying in Ko Olina with a car and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a meal Zippy's is a good alternative. It is referred to as the Hawaii Denny's, but is actually a step up from I-Hop and Denny's. The food is good and reminds me of the offerings at a Cracker Barrel.... More
