Great Luau

It was fun. The culture is neat to learn about and the food was great. Be careful where you select your area to sit because you may end up with a blocked view by palm trees like we did. Cousin Kii our escort was fun on the bus trip to and from the luau and informative about the night of... read more

It was a great luau! The performers were funny and talented. The food was really delicious. There was a slight smell from industrial park at times but overall not significant. The seating is good because u can see the stage from any table but i recommend coming early for front seats. My wife said the food is better than paradise... More

Bus picked us up 1 block from our hotel, T.he Equus. Our guide was Kii and she made the bus ride fun and exciting. We were the last pick up so that worked out in our favor. Took about an hour with traffic to the event. We were the first of 7 buses to arrive so we were able to... More

Although I have never been to a luau before, this absolutely surpassed my wildest expectations. It was like going to a large outdoor backyard bar-b-que at family friend's house, who just happens to have an amazing beachfront view and has organized captivating, family friendly live entertainment. Its like a super-entertaining variety show with something for everyone. We absolutely had a... More

Honestly, words cannot do justice to how amazing Germaine's Luau really is! From the second your picked up in the tour bus, the hosts do everything they can to make you feel welcome and to start your night off right! The luau itself is amazing, the show is great and the food buffet is absolutely delicious!! The drinks and the... More

Last time I travelled to Hawaii I went to the Paradise Cove Luau so this time I decided to try Germaine's. Price was right (cheaper then the others) but our bus was late picking us up meaning we were one of the last buses to arrive. No decent seats left so we saw very little of the show. Also they... This was my very first authentic Luau so I don't have too much to go on, but I honestly had a lot of fun! Yes, it was in an industrial part of the island but that absolutely did NOT take away from the experience. I only smelled the amazing food and the salt of the ocean and only heard the... More

It is located in a very industrial part of town right next to a metal scrap yard. In between the performances you get to listen to cars being shredded. The smell reminded me of the Purina Dogfood Mill in Denver Colorado. The food & the performance were good but not good enough to outweigh the location and smell.

So, one drives through (the incredibly, astoundingly awful) Honolulu traffic to the end of H1 and then through a (gross) industrial park to get Germaine's. So they've got a lot to overcome before they even start. Fortunately for them, the actual setting is quite nice and the hostess (Serena) was a real star and had an uncanny ability to make... More

The buffet at this luau was mediocre at best. I thought the pork was the best entrée; the chicken and beef would have been decent if they were not cold. The desserts were dreadful. The three drinks included in the adult ticket price were pretty good. If you DO go to this luau from Honolulu or Waikiki, take the free... More
