Chao Phya Thai is gourmet Thai food. We stopped at this restaurant by chance during our recent vacation. We ate at the restauranat during lunch hour and tried almost everything on their lunch appetizer menu along with an entree and dessert. We were so impressed with everything we ate, we had planned to go back the next day, it was... More

Affectionately known as "Mama Thoi's" to locals, this place and Thoi are local institutions. Many of us have raised and are raising our kids on her food. She just updated the place and spruced up the menu but , thankfully, kept old favorites. Our girls love the cashew nut beef, I love her yellow curry while my wife lives for... More

Welcomed personally by the owner, and felt like a true guest. Chao Phya Thai was one restaurant I thoroughly enjoyed when I lived on Oahu eight years ago. The food here has set the benchmark for all other Thai food restaurants I have visited, and remains my favorite. The soup, appetizers, main entrees, and fresh made-on-site Coconut Ice Cream, all... It's true! I used to eat here regularly when I lived on Oahu and now... seriously... it's one of the reasons we go back! My kids begged for this on their birthdays... it's that good. You have to have the Chicken Satay, the Garlic Beef, the Crispy Fried Mahi... oh yes... and the spring rolls. Plus it's the best Yellow... More

If you like Thai food, this small place is among the best in Hawaii. Uniformly superb Thai cuisine by Mama Toy served in a pleasant ambiance in the back corner of the Windward City Shopping Center's entrance from King Kamehameha Highway in Kaneohe. The consistently fresh, beautifully prepared dishes and excellent warm table service have generated a very loyal (and... More

The menu is diverse, the food preparation is very good, and the service is attentive. But the furnishings really need updating; the dining room looks like an elderly maiden aunt's parlor. A few thousand dollars in improvements would return a lot more in increased business.

We hadn't been to Chao Phya Thai for a couple months and went again a few nights ago. We were so glad we did!! It was such a good meal!! Their sweet and sour mahi was delicious as well as the cashew nut noodles and a green bean curry. We also got the vegetarian spring rolls which were great. Yum!!!

Looking for great authentic Thai Food? This is another place very popular with the locals. Family owned and operated. Come say hi to Mama Toi, she's a kick-in-the-pants :-)

Food was exellent and their homemade ice-cream was the best home made ice-cream I have ever tasted! Atmosphere was also very nice... If you travel around Oahu don't miss this place.

A small, cozy Thai local restaurant which has same ownership for many, many years. Take your own bottle of wine to enhance the delicious meal options. A large, authentic menu, in a small intimate dining restaurant on a busy intersection in a Windward shopping center.
