I've been here plenty of times. What I love about this place is that they make their food for the day, and when they are out, they are out. My husband and I are very picky about the quality of our meats, and the meat here is always fresh, juicy, and well prepared. We buy one of the huge combo... More

While we enjoyed the beach at Secret Island, my husband learned that the view from there included a great place to try local food, so when we were done we stopped by on our way back down the windward coast. We had tickets for a luau that night so we chose to eat lightly. We wanted to try Laulau, so... More

Cool little place off the beaten path. Offers lots of local Hawaiian cuisine including poi! You will probably need a car, there is a bus station, but it might take a while to get there it is a bit north of Kailua. lol Just on the side of the road, great place to grab some food then go to any... Great local food. My wife and I shared one of the specials(with a wide variety of items included)which filled us both up. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Outdoor seating with beautiful scenery.

I read a favorable review in the Sunday newspaper, plus there was a BOGO coupon, and that is all it took for me to know I wanted to visit Waiahole Poi Factory for the first time. It is located in a very scenic area, with many tropical trees and plants. We went at 11 am as I had read in... More

We ordered the food by phone and it was ready when we picked it up for lunch. The food is always great there. We also took pictures of the Poi Factory. It was quaint and I can just imagine the people making the taro into poi. It was a great experience.

My fiancee' loves this place. He made me promise to write a great review about it. First of all, this was recommended by a local who is working at the nearby Kua Loa Ranch (even though they had a restaurant). We ordered a Kailua meal which has a lot that we just shared one. It was great tasting, not to... More

This is local and authentic Hawaiian food! Different sized portions are available, from the "plate" with sides, to small portions of the entree. Tables are outside. Conversation can be difficult depending on how many trucks are whizzing by. If that's too much, get it as takeout and go to a quieter place.

Stopped by here on our way back from hiking north of here. The freshly poi, squid luau, and fresh lomi salmon really hit the spot. The price was so cheap for the portions and I was really pleased by the quality and service. This is a definite stop for people needed some hearty food or those looking to try some... More
