My fiancee' loves this place. He made me promise to write a great review about it. First of all, this was recommended by a local who is working at the nearby Kua Loa Ranch (even though they had a restaurant). We ordered a Kailua meal which has a lot that we just shared one. It was great tasting, not to... More

This is local and authentic Hawaiian food! Different sized portions are available, from the "plate" with sides, to small portions of the entree. Tables are outside. Conversation can be difficult depending on how many trucks are whizzing by. If that's too much, get it as takeout and go to a quieter place.

Stopped by here on our way back from hiking north of here. The freshly poi, squid luau, and fresh lomi salmon really hit the spot. The price was so cheap for the portions and I was really pleased by the quality and service. This is a definite stop for people needed some hearty food or those looking to try some... More

The poi is absolutely fabulous. For the neophyte the fresh poi is the easiest way to taste this Hawaii staple. Make sure to have some lomilomi salmon and some laulau, too.

We were on our way to visit vegetarian relatives who live in Pupukea and stopped by the Waiahole Poi Factory on the way and picked up poi, ho'io salad and haupia as they were treating us to a vegetarian lunch. Poi, as everyone knows is from the taro root where ho'io is from the Hawaiian fern shoots. Haupia is a... More
