OK, but nothing that fabulous

Food was basically good, but a bit pricey for what you get. They have a wide variety on their menu of both food and spirits, and the ambience is nice enough for a semi-casual restaurant in a beach-town community.

The place in town didn't feel all that pretentious or pricey, this one does. My feelings aren't softened by the fact that my wife has gotten sick on two separate occasions, from the fish tacos, tall stools make it a real thrill to bring kids here, should have closed years ago

Driving from Honolulu to Kailua is always a beautiful ride over the mountains. Formaggio Grill has good food, with an open kitchen and friendly staff. Overall the food is good and they have great wines to match the meals.

We had went on a zip line tour, and it was our family .10 with 2 children.we wanted a good dinner, and not being locals just drove till we found somewhere that looked good. We weren't dressed up,but we still went. It started out ok,but by the end was terrible. They were a little busy, but the service was so obviously discriminating. We... More

The best thing on the menu is the burger and truffle fries. The beet salad is pretty good. Do not get the paella. Most food is overpriced but typical for the area. Wine selection is so-so. A good bar to sit at if there is room.

A mediocre restaurant with poor management. Food pricy and service slow. I ordered risotto and found a spoon at the bottom of the bowl. Manager made some lame excuse but did nothing. You can wait 10-15 minutes to get a drink from the bar as only one bartender for both bar and service bar. Waiters look like slobs and certainly... More

We went to Formaggio Grill to celebrate my son-in-laws birthday. He and his grandson enjoyed, according to them, "The best steak I've ever had in a restaurant." My husband, daughter and I thought the stuffed and rolled chicken breast was the best chicken we've had in a restaurant. One grandson had the lobster mac and loved it; the other had... More

Our first time at this restaurant. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Surrounding are so/so and very ordinary. We were seated in a back room away from the main dining room, but this was quiet and good for quiet conversation. We had the mussels, lamb, lobster Mac and ribs. All was really delicious. The Lilicoi cheesecake was delicious. Highly... More

The artichoke heaven is true to its name but beware, you may not make it to your meal. It's just that good. They have a fantastic wine selection and great coffee too. A nice atmosphere for the weekend.

Too overpriced for what they offer, 3 drinks 40 bucks before trip, I usually tip 20% but this place only rated 15, 8 diners, hit and miss with some not liking meals " don't recommend their version of gnocchi or paella. And some being disappointed because of lackluster service, mistakes that were avoidable, charging for an extra bread roll, however... More
