Make sure you get two boxes

I knew at the first bite that none of the six I had just purchased would survive the short drive back to our place and that I needed another batch for the family. Delish! I went back, got two more orders - they are made to order.

Nice selection of Portuguese and local Hawaiian baked goods. They sell out fast, so get there early in the day.

This bakery has great malasadas, Portuguese style donuts, as well as other baked goods. They have a nice sit down area and it's located on the windward side of the island in Kailua.

The best malasadas I have ever had! My favorite for many years was Leonard's but Agnes' malasadas are eggier and they make them to order (10-15 min. wait), which means they come out HOT! Delicious, melt-in-your-mouth, sweet and chewy all at once. You'll make a mess with the sugar falling off but that's a small price to pay. Also bought... More

Certainly better than a Krispy Kreme or Dunkin D, but nothing super special. Whole Foods cinamon rolls are just a good, or better and WF coffee is way better. Having said that, we'd still stop in at least once on every visit to Kailua for a coffee and a roll. Reasonable prices, friendly, and locally owned.

My sister in law told me this was THE best place to get malasadas on the island, so we made it a point to stop here during our vacation. I ordered a dozen for about $8 and took them home to share - they all disappeared quickly! They bake them fresh to order, so allow 10-15 minutes or call ahead.... More

Great Malasadas - made to order and friendly service - love this place and glad it hasn't changed - tried a cinnamon scroll also which was divine - sizes are more what we would call normal and by that I mean manageable and not HUGE - most of which would get wasted - go there and enjoy the best baked... This place has great baked goods. I am always watching my weight but over 2 wks had a donut and a jelly filled donut - both awesome. We also had brownies - also very good - very fattening

THIS is the place for Malasadas, IMO. We tried a lot of places but these were so good! We went at an off time and tried some other pastries here, too and took some home with us... but we came for the malasadas - they were made fresh to order and worth the wait!

Wife and I made a visit on our first trip toe the island earlier this month. Malasadas were incredible and the service was very friendly.
