Friendly staff and the food was good. We had the hash and the pancakes. First time having passion fruit, which is the syrup on the pancakes.

Decided to go to Moke's on Labor Day for some grub. We were impressed by the size of the place, bigger than it looked so our wait was only 20 min for 2 people. We did wait quite a while to eat after placing our order but I assume that was because of the large crowd. I got the Sunrise... More

Stayed in Kailua this July and visited Moke's on a recommendation of a friend. Was amazing! The Lilikoi pancakes were rediculously onolicious!!! Try asking for the Lilikoi on the side so it doesn't "melt" with the heat of the pancakes. Also had the tuna sandwich. Was absolutely tasty on their 'homemade' bread. I'm not sure if it was just because... More

We stay in Kailua when we are in Hawaii, and one of our favorite breakfast places (we have 3) is Mokes. I almost hate reviewing them, as so many of our favorite local places have become popular with visitors and we like our quiet little secrets ;) The service has always been fantastic, but then again, it always is in... Not much is cheap in Kailua, and you're not going to get cheap here either, but if you want great pancakes with lilikoi sauce on top this is the place to go. Price was $7.25 for two plate size pancakes with an extra $3 for two eggs scrambled. We sat outside where it is quieter, but sometimes a stinky breeze... More

Their Lilikoi pancakes are to die for. The lilikoi sauce is so unique, but the pancakes themselves were super good too. The service is wonderful and every time we eat there it is a great experience. We made sure to eat there 3 times on our two week vacation, but could've eaten there everyday!

I'm always on the lookout for good hash. They do a pretty good job. It is finely chopped. (I prefer a little courser) The resturant is on a cozy side street in downtown. Parking can be challenging at times. I do wish they took Amex cards.
