Best Thai in Kailua Town

This place is friendly, quiet, with excellent service. If Alex is on duty, you can't have a bad experience--he is everywhere facilitating your dining. It's BYOB which keeps the tab down.

The whole family enjoyed it... My niece is vegan and she had the summer rolls and the panang veggie curry with tofu. Our server explained it's the only curry they have which is vegan-friendly. We also had the deep-fried fish... I was a little disappointed that it was basa, instead of a local fish. Our server was excellent and made... More

While on O'ahu in Kailua, one evening every place we tried was packed. Brother had eaten here before & said the food was good. So our family of eight got right in after they put tables together. In reviewing my credit card receipt it appears for 2 people with apps/meal/dessert/drinks/tip the price was pretty decent for HI. The food was... More

Living in the Midwest, I thought our Thai food was pretty good, boy was I wrong. This place is GREAT. We stopped in for lunch one day, we were the first and only ones in the restaurant. The gentleman serving us was very knowledgeable about the food. His service was a little slow, but helped us in choosing our dishes,... More

champa Thai Has good dishes especially their green curry and pad Thai. One of the waiters and hosts, Alex, is excellent; very knowledgable, and totally service oriented.

I lived on Oahu for six years, and since I left 3 years ago, I go back every 6-12 months. When I lived there, I would regularly make the trip from Honolulu to Kailua to eat at Champa Thai, and I always come to here to eat at least once during my visits. On this most recent trip back at... More

We love Champa Thai! It's our favorite place to eat out with friends or family in Kailua. The food is excellent, the service attentive and friendly, and the prices reasonable. The atmosphere is casual, but cozy with interesting Asian-themed art and decor. They have one extra-long table suitable for large parties. We always start with the Tom Kha soup -... More

The food was really good, but there was only one waiter for a full restaurant. Maybe it was just an off night? If you are in the area, and want thai....eat here, if you have time.

Champa Thai was very crowded and busy, but we were greeted and seated quickly. The menu was full of very tasty dishes and we tried a lot of them. They have brown rice available as well as sticky rice, so everyone was happy. The dishes we ordered included a green curry, sauteed eggplant with chicken, a ginger dish with long... More

"Surprised" because the reviews I read were not representative of our visit. We found this restaurant to be one of our better finds in Kialua. We also found the staff to be friendly, welcoming, well-informed and helpful. The food was excellent, properly spiced, nicely portioned and delivered in a timely fashion. Prices are moderate and reasonable with the most costly... More
