If it wasn't for the amazing food, the score would have been lower. Yes we got the pancakes! They are amazing. I opted for the short stack, perfect choice. Banana Mac Nut Pancakes with the oh so delish sauce. I would highly recommend it. Just don't get the little skinny server, pretty sure her name is Laura, that won't look... More

So I was told by a friend to come eat breakfast here and try out the pancakes. There is limited seating since it was packed and we waited maybe 30 minutes. I am not really a pancakes for breakfast guy and usually get steak and eggs. Well I tried the steak and eggs and they were good. They came with... More

Talk about to die for.... Banana pancakes drenched in macadamia nut syrup! This is the signature dish for breakfast! Every time we're in Hawaii on the Kailua side, we love stopping here! Wish they would bottle the syrup so us "mainland folks" can dream of being back in Hawaii. The service is good, the atmosphere is a plethora of football... More

Good breakfast. The wait was about 20 minutes Get pancakes or waffles with the macadamia syrup. It was very good. The place is not very cheap so don't expect a cheap breakfast place. Somewhat of a tourist trap, but worth it to go here once just for the experience. The decor has a sports theme..mostly NFL. The owner is clearly... More

Parking can be a little tough, but the macadamia pancake syrup makes you forget all about the walk. Our wait was about 20 minutes with primarily Japanese tourists holding brochures standing all around us. You can go inside and ask the hostess (manager) for a cup of coffee while you peruse the menu outside. everything we had was good, just... More

Boots and Kimo's Home-style Kitchen Restaurant is overrated, it's more of a tourist trap. Not worth the 2 hour wait outside, where there is no shade. Upon placing our order we waited an additional 30 minutes before we were served and that was after reminding the waiter about our order. The ham and cheese omelet was delicious, however as for... I grew up with Boots & Kimo's right around the corner. Best Macadamia Nut Pancakes you'll ever eat. Even non-pancake lovers love them. Their fried rice is incredible and pairs nicely with the ribs. The wait can be really long, but my family always calls in an order early and then we pick it up and enjoy it at home.... More

If you're on O'ahu right, stop everything + make your way to Boots + Kimo's. Be prepared to wait at least 1 hour but you can use that time to shop at the HIC store across the way or Foodland for some poke (I recommend the Furikake Ahi or the Shoyu Limu poke). Once seated, I can't recommend the pancakes... More

Got there early enough that wait wasn't too bad. We had a party of ten, but split our tables into two parties. I got the specialty pancakes and they were very good. Service was fine. As far as I could tell every one of us enjoyed our meal. Not sure I'd go back just for the pancakes, but if I'd... More
