Excellent Pancakes But Worth The Wait?

This is a VERY busy place for pancakes and breakfast, and there's always a horde of people, mainly tourists, waiting outside for a table. The pancakes are excellent but the service somewhat lacking due to their busyness. It is not cheap around $12 for pancakes. Is it worth a try? Yes, if you... read more

This is a great visit only for the Macadamia Pancakes, but very over priced and not much else on the menu that is original

This place is always busy, but worth the wait. They have the best banana pancakes, with a coconut Mac-nut sauce that can't be beat If you don't have time to wait, get it to go and take it the beach.

The food was average and not very reasonable for $12. The coffee was three dollars and watery. They didn't seem to care as they were too busy. So we haven't been back. Although we've heard that the menu has gotten better. I don't know about the coffee.

Stopped here for breakfast on a weekend getaway from Washington state. Been here before having grown up on O'ahu. Heard that the wait here has gotten crazy, and it has. But the food here is still the same quality and taste I grew up with. We had the steak eggs and rice, fried rice with over easy eggs, home style... More

We locals used to love Boots and Kimos back when it was a small restaurant in a modest space. There was usually a wait, but it was Hawaiians, Samoans, local Haoles and rarely, rarely any tourists. The food was Ono and the talk was even bettah! Then Boots & Kimo's got written up, they got famous, especially with Japanese tourists.... More

Stopped here for breakfast after a friend recommended it. What a great experience! I had the banana pancake with the coconut macadamia sauce and it was out of this world. The pancakes were light and fluffy with the taste of fresh banana, and the sauce was smooth, creamy and delicious, it was a party in my mouth! Portions were good... More

Macadamia nut pancakes were divine. We arrived @ 8:15am and were told wait was 45 minutes. It ended up being an hour, but the pancakes were well worth the wait. Place is decked out in NFL memorabilia with a strong preference for the Broncos which was awesome. Wait staff was friendly & efficient. Cash only. Free parking in the back.... More
