Boots and Kimo's Home-style Kitchen Restaurant is overrated, it's more of a tourist trap. Not worth the 2 hour wait outside, where there is no shade. Upon placing our order we waited an additional 30 minutes before we were served and that was after reminding the waiter about our order. The ham and cheese omelet was delicious, however as for... I grew up with Boots & Kimo's right around the corner. Best Macadamia Nut Pancakes you'll ever eat. Even non-pancake lovers love them. Their fried rice is incredible and pairs nicely with the ribs. The wait can be really long, but my family always calls in an order early and then we pick it up and enjoy it at home.... More

If you're on O'ahu right, stop everything + make your way to Boots + Kimo's. Be prepared to wait at least 1 hour but you can use that time to shop at the HIC store across the way or Foodland for some poke (I recommend the Furikake Ahi or the Shoyu Limu poke). Once seated, I can't recommend the pancakes... More

Got there early enough that wait wasn't too bad. We had a party of ten, but split our tables into two parties. I got the specialty pancakes and they were very good. Service was fine. As far as I could tell every one of us enjoyed our meal. Not sure I'd go back just for the pancakes, but if I'd... More

-We were told that this place was a must stop breakfast joint and it was. -The food, most importantly, was very good. Especially their signature MAC pancakes & MAC sauce! If only the MAC syrup was sold, I would have brought a quart back to Colorado! -What sets this place apart, for us, was the Broncos gear all over the... More

I've had friends rave about this place. But to me, it was ok. Not bad at all. But seems like a typical breakfast spot to me. But I did not order the most popular dish- the macadamia pancakes. So maybe that was my flaw. I ordered the French toast and candy coated bacon. French toast good. Not great. Bacon tastes... More

I only give a two star simply because our waitress was nice. DO NOT waste your time coming here. Drive down the street to Cinnamon's. I got there early and was told the wait was 90 minutes. Being that is was Labor Day, I found this reasonable and sat outside to wait. They do not have any shaded areas and... More

I stop in Boots and Kimos every time I'm in Hawaii. I typically stay in Waikiki or Ko Olina, but I make that drive to Kailua town to stand in the long line outside of Boots for my grinds ya. I love the pulehu ribs with red velvet pancakes and ono macadamia nut sauce. Try ask the staff what football... More

Excellent banana pancakes and would go there for these. Eggs were OK, not great and cause the loss of a star in the review. Be prepared to wait 20 to 30min for a table. And cash only.

I went to boots and kimo and the waiting line was big outside . Once you get in its a small quaint dinner FULL of football theme. The service is quick and the food is good but what floored me was the macadamia nut sauce pancakes, they were dilicious! So go early and try those pancakes.
