Chips were stale and salsa tasted like jarred marinara. There was a "fresh" salsa option on the menu for $5...ridiculous. And it was downhill from there!

Not the best on Oahu but will satisfy a craving. The chips seem to be store bought but the salsa is tasty and a little different. More like a thick tomato paste.....I liked it though. Everyone in my group had carnitas which was flavorful and not overly oily. I had the carnitas tacos and again the tortillas seemed to be... More

I am from California and am use to eating good mexican food as I come from an area that has many hispanics and mexican restaurants and I am half mexican myself and can cook and was raised eating mexican food. We have lived in Kailua almost a month now and tried Mexican for the first time at Los Garcia's. I... More

I lived in Kailua for three years and tried a number of places in Kailua, Kaneohe, and the surrounding areas...even up into the North Shore. I would choose Los Garcia's every time. The service is friendly and fast, the menu extensive, and the cheese dip delicious! The food is fattening, so if you are looking for calorie friendly eats, this... More

As lovers of Mexican food, we didn't expect much based on other reviews. Here's our take. Tortilla chips good. Salsa is like spicy tomato soup (yuck). Ordered the pico de gallo instead which was good. Fajitas had a ton of mushrooms which I found odd. Beef taco was inedible. Charrizo taco was good. Service was marginal. Mixed up drink order... Yes the food here tastes good but I suspect it's because how heavy they are on the lard and salt. I ate here once and the food was tasty but I suspect my burrito plate exceeded 1500 calories. I know mexican isn't health food but I've been places that can enhance flavor with fresh ingredients and seasonings and don't need... More

The food was good but in relation to "California Mexican food" it is OK/good but not great. I was sad that they didn't have ceviche. The food was a bit pricey but it was pretty consistent with local food prices. It is slightly less expensive than other Mexican food in the area and I will say it is probably the... More

A very nice Mexican restaurant. Clean facility with okay decor. The chips and salsa were above average. Service was excellent. The appetizer and main dishes were hot, well prepared, and delicious. This was our second visit and was just as good as our first.

A bit dated but friendly staff and lots to choose from on the menu. I had the chicken chimichanga and it was excellent!!
