No frills eatery with great food at reasonable prices. Knowledgeable and friendly waitress who took the time to explain entre details. Now to the food. Prior to the entrees our appetizer was Thai Spring Rolls which were perfect openers for the main event. We had these two entrees. My wife had Pad Thai Chicken Noodle Bowl with medium spice heat.... The Lemongrass is a very modest restaurant but what it lacks in ambiance....it makes up in excellent food. My husband and ordered Thai spring rolls for our appetizer. They were yummy, partnered with fresh crisp lettuce, mint, and dipping sauce. My entree of Pad Thai with chicken was delicious and a very ample portion. My husband had the Chicken, Shrimp,... More

Went for lunch w/my family including a 1 1/2 year old. First, the service was first rate. It's not easy to wait on a table with a messy child. The atmosphere is ok. We prefer great food at a reasonable price. Now, for the best part: the food. We had Thai iced tea, tofu pad Thai, fish w/green curry sauce,... More

My husband and I love both Thai and Vietnamese food. We found Lemongrass by accident on our last night in Kailua. We wished we had found it sooner! I had the best Massaman curry I've ever had and my husband enjoyed his dish. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. My need to eat gluten free posed no challenges for them... More

Though I enjoy fusion food, and have indulged in Asian and Asian-American fusion in the NE of the USA and in BC, Canada. Good authentic flavours are often hard to come by. This restaurant was recommended by a local and we had two very different dishes, one Thai and one Vietnamese and they were both fantastic with the original flavours... More

Had a nice lunch at Lemongrass. We shared the phad thai, tofu spring rolls and veggie curry, they were all crowd pleasers! Friendly service, family owned and BYOB. Bonus!

I have eaten at this Thai restaurant numerous times over the past year. Without a doubt it is the most flavorful Thai restaurant in Kailua. The restaurant is small and almost always packed on Friday and Saturday nights. Some of my favorite dishes here include: - coconut shrimp - Thai Spring roles - Vietnamese Green Papaya Salad - Tom Yum... More

My family and I enjoyed this place. As we discussed the rating we asked ourselves "Would we come back?" to which we all answered YES. However in our personal rating system more of a 3.5 vs a 4, but still on Trip Advisor, anything less than 4 is a poor. We had the coconut prawns that were quite scrumptious. The... More

Yummy food, fair prices, great service. And best of all, bring your own drinks or buy them at the liquor store next door....

We had asked around looking for a good Thai restaurant in Kona. We were directed to go to Lemongrass. My wife started with coconut shrimp and I with the Samba I Beef. The shrimp was in a pineapple sauce hot fresh and very tastefull. The beef was tender very well flavored and came out hot. I ordered the Kung Pao... More
