Loved this place!

Small and intimate, closes early but worth every minute there. Food is fresh and served fast. The Green Papaya salad is out of this world. The Curries are flavorful and spicy but not burn your mouth out. Recommend for any Thai lover

We stopped by this small store front restaurant on a side street in Kailua to experience a delicious meal. We had Banh Mi Tom Nuong (grilled marinated shrimps stuffed into a French bread with Vietnamese style pickled daikon, carrots, cucumber, and cilantro), Tom Thit Nuong Cha Gio (grilled pork and shrimp served over cold rice noodles topped w/ bean sprouts,... We ordered the "most popular menu item" which was the grilled chicken, shrimp and spring rolls. The chicken tasted re-heated and the noodles were cold and fish flavored. Would not recommend this particular item. The fried rice was average and not worth the 12$ in my opinion.

As others have said, the first thing the waitress said was "we close at three". Not exactly what we wanted to hear after a plane ride and drive. She and the other woman did not seem friendly at all. The thai iced tea tasted weak and watered down, and the curried vegetables also tasted watered down, with a side of... More

A hidden, simple place. No frills, just good food! We started with the Thai spring rolls which were great. My husband had the spicy Thai garlic shrimp, deliciously garlicky. Not for the faint of heart. I had the pork noodles which was so yummy, light and refreshing. Definitely recommend this place.

Our party of 4 had a super meal here! The restaurant was filled to capacity and they were short staffed. Aside from a bit of a wait for our server to take our orders, everything was fantastic. The food arrived in record time, huge portions, piping hot and definitely one of the best, and by far the cheapest, meal we've... More

No frills eatery with great food at reasonable prices. Knowledgeable and friendly waitress who took the time to explain entre details. Now to the food. Prior to the entrees our appetizer was Thai Spring Rolls which were perfect openers for the main event. We had these two entrees. My wife had Pad Thai Chicken Noodle Bowl with medium spice heat.... The Lemongrass is a very modest restaurant but what it lacks in ambiance....it makes up in excellent food. My husband and ordered Thai spring rolls for our appetizer. They were yummy, partnered with fresh crisp lettuce, mint, and dipping sauce. My entree of Pad Thai with chicken was delicious and a very ample portion. My husband had the Chicken, Shrimp,... More

Went for lunch w/my family including a 1 1/2 year old. First, the service was first rate. It's not easy to wait on a table with a messy child. The atmosphere is ok. We prefer great food at a reasonable price. Now, for the best part: the food. We had Thai iced tea, tofu pad Thai, fish w/green curry sauce,... More

My husband and I love both Thai and Vietnamese food. We found Lemongrass by accident on our last night in Kailua. We wished we had found it sooner! I had the best Massaman curry I've ever had and my husband enjoyed his dish. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. My need to eat gluten free posed no challenges for them... More
