Description: I learned about this place in the Hawaiian Airlines "Hana Hou" magazine and HAD to check it out. The shoyu poke WAS SO GOOD! I live in town, but my wife and I want to head out to Kahuku again just for this!

Best poke' I've ever had (the kimchi was mighty good too!) and the fresh Musubi turned my husband into an addict!

Ask for the most popular poke. They have several. It is the one that looks more brown and has white onion in addition to green onion. The other ahi poke is also good, but sweet. The most popular one has a great spice. Then leave. Go eat on the beach. This place is ugly and dirty.

The Foodland doesn’t sell alcohol down the street so we stopped here to grab a bottle of wine and some Jack Daniels. Unfortunately, the Superette only sells beer. Really? Is there no place to get wine or hard alcohol on this island? We ended up having to buy some overpriced wine from our hotel.

I hate to give this place a poor review, because it was charming and friendly, but many people told me to go here for the poke...so I did. I thought that the fish was not cut up very well, and found myself with hard to chew pieces in my mouth. I ended up throwing most of it away unfortunately.

this lil store sells beer and ice and snacks.... what else do you need when staying on the north shore. If you do need anything...they will most likely have it to. Great lil shop for quick shopping :)

Best meal of our trip was eating poke on our lanai. Really, really fresh fish, really good poke! Don't let the looks of the outside turn you off....go inside to the back counter and get your poke on!

We never had poke bowls before coming to Hawaii and now we don't know what we will do without them. We mentioned to the owner of the beach house that we rented that we like to stay away from the touristy stuff and preferred more of a local flair, so she made a list of the best in the area.... Spent 3 days north shore - best Poke ever at this place. A must for Poke lovers - pretty good selection of wine and beer as well but Poke is the draw for sure!

What a deal at only $6-$8 for a ton over nice rice! Different options but stick with the shoyu it's yummy. We got some each night an enjoyed the sunset with it. Don't miss it - and don't go there for anything else - not a really well stocked superette.

This place was awesome. It had literally everything you'd need from champagne to beach attire to novels and chocolate. I wish all hotels had something like this.
