Good Service, good food, good atmosphere!

It was our 3rd last day in Hawaii, so we thought we should hire a car, and see some more of Oahu. We went to the Kahuku Grill yesterday after reading good reviews. Both my mum and I ordered the Grilled Fish, which came with rice and salad. The fish and salad was a good size, and a big serving... read more

This casual take-out or dine-in restaurant near the Turtle Bay Resort has good burgers and seafood offerings at reasonable prices.

We arrived on the North Shore on Monday, 16 February and were very keen to try Kahuku Grill based on previous Trip Advisor recommendations and also a friends personal recommendation. We were disappointed that during our stay, the restaurant was closed for maintenance as we were looking forward to trying the famous coconut and macadamia shrimp. Well, to our delight... More

When a cold drink is served without anything underneath to collect the condensation, it makes for puddles that only get swished around when the next set of guests settle down at that table for serving: not only ideal, especially for newspaper readers, or people who rest their hands on the table surface ....

Unless you are staying in turtle bay, this is going to be a bit of a drive. Its hidden around the corner from a gasmart. It was a great find!!! The coconut shrimp is beyond delicious. I got the shrimp and fish combo, which is served with rice and a tasty small salad. I tried the garlic shrimp as well.... More

We looked this up on Trip Advisor and saw all the great reviews and decided to give it a go as we were staying close by. We had a muddle up in service, but the lovely bloke behind the counter fixed that, then we got a muddle up in our order - but that was also fixed straight away with... More

We ended up eating here at least 3 times and we were only on the north shore for 4 nights. The macadamia coconut prawns are the best! I still think about them, yum! It's definitely a no frills kind of place but we loved it. I also have some of my best photos from the inside eating area, something about... More

We stopped here last week and realized we were here also while Jamie O'Brien (local surfer celeb) was here. It was very slow service but the food more than made up for any of that. We had the coconut shrimp and a Shem Burger. It was our best meal of the week! Great food!

The food is really delicious and the atmosphere island. second only to the food served? The owner Art! I would describe him as the Gentleman Surfer Dude. His other restaurant is really good too and it's call Seven Brothers. Those guys are he's sons! Way cool!
