Amazing burgers and grilled scrimps

Loved the Grill Seafood Combo ($15) and Shem's Big Bad Burger Combo ($10). They're located by North Shore. It is well worth the 45 km drive from Waikiki.

The coconut shrimp was unreal, but do not be fooled its a large meal and you will not need anything else to fill you up. Very friendly staff and with the owner walking around making sure everyone was ok (Dont think this occurs every night) it was the perfect local food without the need of eating off the back of... We stopped here because all these little places are supposed to be awesome. They opened at 11. Around 11 a girl came out and said they wouldn't be ready to open until 1115 . And they were out of butter so the garlic butter shrimp would not be available. I can live with that. So at 1115 they started taking... More

Kahuku Grill features burgers and fish plates and we had their "World Famous" coconut & macadamia nut shrimp plate with five large butterflied shrimp, seasoned white rice and a tossed salad for $13/plate. Even though you order at the window of a fixed building, the experience is more like ordering and eating at one of the famous North Shore Shrimp... More

We stopped by for lunch after a friend recommended we go here. We got the grilled fish plate (fresh, not greasy at all) and the coconut shrimp (which were delicious) and garlic shrimp (which weren't as good). The food comes with a hefty amount of sides- I got the rice and salad which were fresh and good. Lots of food!!... More

Today was our second time to eat here. We went because they were out of their famous chocolate chip banana bread the first night we ate there. Needless to say, they were out when they opened, apparently due to the one who bakes the bread being out of town. We had also gone because the food the first night was... More

The Kahuku Grill has the feel of a food truck in a hole in the wall type building. The staff are friendly, share smiles, and are fast. I had the best coconut shrimp I have ever had, the fish was great and their cowboy burger is hilariously huge. It's funny how the little things leave an impression. My wife an... More

Went as it was a recommendation from a friend who used to live on Oahu. So glad we stopped in. Great food, quick and easy service, not fussy. My husband ordered the fish and shrimp combo and I got the macadamia nut coconut shrimp. Both of us agreed that our meals were amazing (but heavy...we didn't eat dinner!). The side... More

We had eaten previously at the Kahuku shrimp trucks. We decided to try the grill, thinking it would be indoors. There is an outdoor service window with outdoor tables. It was busy when we arrived. After a wait we ordered at the window, but service was at the tables. I watched the servers bring out amazing burgers. Next time, that's... More
